Pastor Testimony:
Born and raised in a Christian family, Pastor Gens was an only child. His mother was a faithful servant of God and she was also his mentor. He grew up in the church until the day when, at the age of 12, he gave his life to Jesus. Growing up he developed a great love for the word of God, so during his university studies in accounting, he volunteered to teach Sunday school in his home church. As an accountant, he never imagined becoming a pastor until the day when his pastor told him that he saw God’s calling in him to be a pastor. Pastor Samson encouraged him to go to seminary. After schooling and 4 years in a missions pastor role, God called him to Anse-a-veau to plant the Calvary Chapel church that he is currently pastoring. Pastor Gens is married to Gloria and they have a son.

Calvary Chapel de l'Anse-a-veau
"Eglise Calvary Chapel" was founded on February 7 of 2021 with just 6 people in attendance for the first service. Before that, Pastor Gens had been traveling from Port-au-Prince to Anse-a-veau every Saturday to teach the Bible to the youth in that community until God decided that it was time for his wife and him to move there and plant a church. The community of Anse-a-veau is a difficult field to the Gospel, the voodoo influence is strong and most people do not go to church. Since then, God has done so much great stuff through this ministry. Numbers are growing, especially in the youth, and many lives have been changed, souls saved, and faith strengthened. They had their first baptism event recently this past July where 3 people were baptized. Hallelujah!
