The community of Bois-Dioute is nestled into a mountainside, 15 minutes on the outskirts of Carrefour, Haiti. While this community continues to grow, many residents still feel the lingering effects of the earthquake of 2012. Many of the 8-9,000 families that call Bois-Dioute home still struggle meeting basic needs day-to-day. The church began the way churches often do, as a small group of believers praying together on a front porch. Over the years, the church continued to grow and was able to acquire a bit of land to build upon. Pastor Renald Clesidor and his church leadership want their church to serve as a place in the Bois-Dioute community where the word of God is taught clearly and where practical and spiritual needs are met. The church desires to finish the construction of a new building for their members to meet, establish a school, a good health center, a library, a computer lab for research, a community restaurant where there is access to clean drinking water especially for the elderly, and other ways to show the love and hope of Jesus.
