The story of Dios de la Profecia starts 14 years ago when pastor Eber Canayo journyed to Santa Rosa Village in Amazon River, Peru to preach God’s word. He planted a small church of 6 people who gathered together in homes. After several months the church built a small temple made of palm leaves, sticks and boards and the congregation began to grow! Pastor Ruiz was raised up as a leader in the congregation and when pastor Eber was transferred to another village, he was asked to step in as pastor. He had felt a calling to ministry from the Lord for some time and accepted the new role with gladness. Pastor Ruiz is passionate at training up leaders in the church as disciples, much like he was discipled. The church wants to continue to spread the love and hope of the Gospel with their community and be a support for their neighbors to help meet spiritual and physical needs.
