Pastor José is married to Nubia, and they have one daughter. He accepted Jesus when he was five years old, and his parents were also saved around the same time. He was baptized when he was 13 years old. He attended church alone for a long time, even if his family didn't go with him, and he read the Bible independently. He loved reading and studying the Bible. Eventually, he moved cities and lived on the other side of the country. That is when God started calling him to ministry. While he was managing a farm, he felt the Lord first calling him to ministry, and he ran away, not wanting to make such a drastic life-change. Years later, he felt the call again. He was serving and attending church at the time, and God called him to open a church and do an evangelism campaign. There were five people at the first service. He remembers them fondly as the first five people he pastored. He did not have land, a building, or any hope for a church, but this time, he didn’t run. He leaned fully into his calling and worked full-time to build up the church where it now stands. He has been working on building the church, uniting the community, sharing the gospel, and teaching healthy doctrine all these years.
