Transito Mai
Douglas Baptist
Testimony:
In 2010 there was terrible flooding in Douglas village. Pastor Transito Mai never considered being a pastor, but after the flooding, he started to help out the community and felt called to ministry. He wasn’t sure what it would look like, but nevertheless he was faithful to the call and planted a church. He and his wife started to walk to Douglas twice a week for services. Douglas is 3 miles away from where they live, but they walked every week or sometimes got a ride from friends. The church started off with one single believer in attendance, Sister Candy. She kept encouraging them to come back, so they did. Slowly the church began to grow and after 2 years, they had about 15-20 coming to church and who were baptized. To this day, Pastor Transito and his wife are still committed to ministry and pastoring the church in Douglas.
