Pastor tells us his testimony: “As a teen I was invited to attend church with a friend. After attending a youth camp I got more serious in my walk with Lord. I accepted Him in my heart and eventually was baptized. After graduation, I got a job with the post office, where I am still working. During that time I felt the call of God in my life to be a pastor and received counsel and blessing from leaders in my life. Shortly after I was enrolled in Caribbean Nazarene College (CNC). I started pastoring three years into pastoral classes. In 2013 I was ordained as an elder in the church and in August of that same year I married my beautiful wife, Diana. We will be celebrating 10 years married and 13 years as the pastor. She has been a great asset in our ministry!”

Independence Church of the Nazarene
Independence Church of the Nazarene was founded in late 1960. But many ups and downs in the community left the church struggling to grow and without leadership at various times. The church was officially organized in 1979 and has flourished in the years since. The church desires to serve as a place of hope for their community and anyone that comes into its doors. The church was growing so fast, they needed to expand and build a larger building. Some local community members assisted with purchasing a property across the street for the future sanctuary and right now, they are diligently praying and working towards this goal. The church is very busy with many ministries, outreaches, Bible studies, classes and more throughout the week and on the weekends. They are blessed to continue seeing people come to know the Lord through outreach!
