Pastor Testimony:
Pastor Oscar used to be a police guard at the border between Costa Rica and Nicaragua during the 1980s. Back in that time, there was a civil war between 2 powers in Nicaragua. Oscar knew about Christ, but he had never surrendered his life to the Lord. One day he found himself in the middle of a combat and thought it was the end for him. He prayed for forgiveness and God delivered him from sin and bullets that day. Soon after, Pastor Oscar was really sick. He went to the doctor and was told he had pancreatic cancer. The doctor told him there was no cure, but the Lord sent 2 angels to touch the Pastor's body, and God healed him at that moment. The Lord called him to share his testimony and share the Gospel. For 9 years he was an evangelist and then began his ministry as a Pastor after 4 years of Bible and Spiritual Preparation. Pastor has now been in the ministry for more than 20 years and has been pastoring this church for 15. He has been married to Nelly for 37 years and has 3 children.

Nestled in the foothills of the Cordillera Central mountain chain, you’ll find Grecia, Costa Rica, a small farming community with some big attractions. This town is about 20 minutes north of Alajuela city and offers some of the most incredible scenery. The church was founded there on a promise from God to sustain them if they had faith to follow Him.The church has been growing over the years and currently has 120 members. Right now the focus is on evangelism and preaching the word of God and relying on God's guidance. The future dream for the church is to be an even bigger blessing to the community. The church has a lot of land, so the vision is to create a place where people can worship, study the Bible and also have retreats, similar to a camp - a place for people to come together.
