Meet the church:
Benque Viejo Nazarene Church
To speak of the history of the Benque Viejo Nazarene Church is to speak of the history of the Nazarene Mission in Belize. In the 1930s, Belize received an influx of Guatemalan immigrants, leaving their home country to look for a new life and a large population landed in Benque. The Nazarene Mission started a church to reach the new immigrants and help meet their needs. Many leaders served the church over the years and the church continued to grow. As of today, over 13 pastors have helped lead and serve, erecting a church building, school, medical clinic and more. The church has a heart to serve the local community and spread the love of Christ with the world.
