Pastor
Amado Morales
Alto Jabui Talamanca
Pastor Amado is already a PPM365 partner and enrolled in the program, but you can make a donation in their honor and support another church in Costa Rica.
Pastor Testimony:
10 Years ago when Pastor Amado went to live in another town, he was working on the banana plantation. Getting to and from church was difficult, but he always wanted to serve the Lord. He wanted to serve him full time, but doing that and caring for his family as well seemed impossible. But, God’s plans are always different and better. The hand of God has been on his life since he accepted Him when he was 15 years old. He had a promise from Him that He would serve Him one day. Trusting in that promise he decided to quit his job. After that, he had more time to serve the Lord helping his local pastor. God provided many ways for his family and one day his Pastor retired. He said, “God wants you to continue as the pastor here.” And the rest was history. Pastor Amado is married to Damari. They have a son, Anania, and a daughter, Cary.
Meet the church:
Alto Jabui Talamanca
Plantio de Jehovah was founded in 2000. The church is seen by the community as a center of love, and a place where they can go and find a friend. Since the beginning, people from the community accepted Pastor Amado as the Pastor because he grew up there. He is part of the community and his leadership is very important for the church because in this part of the country they do not accept outsiders easily. The majority of the community attends the church regularly. As a tribe, they have the services in their own language and it is a very different experience for missionaries that visit the church because services have to be translated into two languages (from the tribal language into Spanish and then into English).
