Pastor Testimony:
Pastor Germán is married with five kids. His father was a pastor, so he knew the challenges of ministry early on. While he worked hard in church, he did not want to be a pastor. He said that he would only do so if a church had no pastor, it was a good fit, and the congregation accepted it. After 4-5 years, he found himself in that exact situation and he could not back out of what he said! Pastor Germán has been in ministry for 36 years, of which 12 years have been at Iglesia Metodista San Juan Moderno.

Iglesia Metodista San Juan Moderno
Iglesia Metodista San Juan Moderno is one of the oldest Methodist churches in Puerto Rico. Located right off the highway and about 10 minutes from the airport, it is one of our oldest PPM partners in Puerto Rico! The church has been focused on serving the community and helping missionaries for many years. They have served in whatever ways the community needs for many years, from running a college in the church building at night, to housing missionaries and storing supplies for mission work. The church is located in a community that is surrounded predominantly by older people and people from the Dominican Republic. There is also a large population of people experiencing homelessness, which is why the church leadership is passionate about service projects and food distribution.
