Pastor Testimony:
Pastor Wayne gave his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in the year of 1993. A friend shared the gospel often with him at work and said that God wanted to use him for His purpose. At this time in his life, he was one of Belize’s top soccer players and was a track and field runner. But in 1992, an injury on the field ruined his chances of a professional career. But God had other plans. After some time of running from God, he finally accepted salvation in 1994 and was ordained as the pastor of Pomona Christian Community Church in 2003.

Pomona Christian Community Church
Pomona Christian Community Church is located in the Pomona Village, Stann Creek District. The church was founded in 1997 and has grown from a few families to hundreds of people. In 2006 the church launched Pomona Hope Preschool and by 2016, due to the growth in church attendance and the preschool, they were faced with the need for a bigger facility. Cornerstone Baptist Church responded by helping in financing a new building. The previous church building now serves as a full-time Preschool. The upper flat of the extended building is complete and now used for a sewing program and youth meetings. Today the local congregation is multi-cultured. The church at full capacity is up to about 300 or more people pulling together all levels of ministry, which entail men, women, youth, senior youth, and journey groups that meet in homes. There is a leadership team made up of the senior pastor and three other elders who help conduct the church services and other lay leaders who lead and oversee the various departments within the ministry.
