Reverend Testimony:
Pastor Josphat was born again in 1982 when he was very young. God appeared to him in a dream. He was sick, and he felt somebody appear and heal him. That person in the dream was Jesus, although he didn’t know that yet. Soon after, someone invited him to church. The church prayed for his salvation and after accepting Christ, he experienced the zeal of God in his life. At the time, he had a wound in his leg that had medicine that had failed to heal and it was to be amputated. The wound healed, just as he had dreamed, and he began to follow the Lord earnestly to date. He is married to his wife Prisca, and they have 4 children.

Light On The Rock Church
Light on the Rock Church is situated in one of the slums of Mombasa. Pastor Josphat started inviting people to meet for Bible study in his home. The space at home quickly became too small when the church membership began to grow - an awesome problem to have! They were able to meet in a primary school classroom nearby for a time, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, they had to move the meetings back to the home where they meet in the open-air garage attached to it. The faithful members of the church continue to do door-to-door evangelism, sharing the love and hope of Christ with all in their community. The congregation aspires to attain a plot of land where they can construct a building where they can worship.
