Pastor
Jafet Pat
Kings Park Church of the Nazarene
Pastor Testimony:
Pastor Jafet Pat was born in San Jose Succotz, Cayo District, where he grew up and later on, graduated college in 1981. He served in public service for many years in various capacities, and before leaving that line of work, was the Chief of Field Operations. He accepted the Lord in 1999 and resigned from active duty as a public officer in 2001. He attended Bible College in Guatemala and graduated in 2003. He made his way to Belize City in 2006 where he began a pastoral position at another church for the first time. In 2015, he moved to King’s Park. During this time, his wife Rosalinda was diagnosed with cancer and after struggling for nearly three years, she passed away in 2017. This was a dark time for Pastor Pat, but he leaned heavily on the Lord to sustain him in his grief. In 2019, God allowed him to meet his new wife, Frances and they married. They together serve the Lord, believing in his strength to grow them in their faith and marriage.
Meet the church:
Kings Park Church of the Nazarene
Kings Park Nazarene Church began in Pastor Ciara’s home in 1980 with a home Bible study. The fruit from that little meeting of friends grew and grew! As the group grew in size, they began searching for larger areas to meet. Later, the group began to meet in the downstairs classroom on the north building of Nazarene High School. In 1986, they were able to build the present church building. King’s Park Church of the Nazarene continues to be important to the community today and is one of the largest churches in Belize City. The church is passionate about developing strategic ways to reach the community and loves to partner with other churches and organizations throughout the city to reach out to the lost.
