PPM Disaster Response: Ukraine Relief - Poland
It is estimated that over 3 million Ukrainian refugees have found refuge in neighboring Poland since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Over 2 million of these refugees have taken residence in Poland's major cities, resulting in a significant increase in population in these areas. Poland’s capital, Warsaw, has grown by 15 percent; Kraków, Poland's second-largest city, has grown by 23 percent. Many of these refugees have been taken in by the Polish people in their homes. With no end in sight, both Polish and Ukrainian families are struggling under the pressure of this tragic conflict.
Praying Pelican Missions is networking with local churches and ministries to provide encouragement and assistance in this great time of need. Our contacts on the ground have been clear “please come, we need help.” We are scheduled to begin receiving volunteer groups beginning November 1, 2022, working alongside local churches and non-profit organizations who are caring for those who have been impacted.
Logistically, we are preparing to receive groups of 10-40 persons. Trips will be scheduled on a 7-day rotation. If your team is interested in staying longer, please discuss this with your missions consultant.
If you are able to bring a group to serve, please utilize the open trip dates function to reserve your date or enter your information in the contact form found on this page. You may also call our office directly at 888-776-4090 to speak with a mission representative.

Pastor Henryk was happy to see us as we cast a vision for teams to come help him finish this 15-unit apartment building meant to house refugees in the border town of Przemysl.

Come to Tarnów
by Grant Hoel | December 16, 2022 3:22 PM
Pastor Adrian and his wife Agata pastor a small church of 40 in the heart of Tarnów. This would be a terrific location for a hotel-sleeping team that could help them reach out to their community as well as help complete the "House of Hope" project meant to house refugees (located near the Ukraine border - 1 hour East of Tarnów).
