Christmas In Costa Rica

We are so excited to be serving alongside of you this week!  

This photo doesn’t show all of us, but the majority of us are here and are getting settled in beautiful Costa Rica. We know that God has amazing things in store for us this week!

Pastor Warner is the man who has been loving on the kids of San Martin, Costa RIca for many years.  For the 9th year he has organized an amazing Christmas party. We are excited to partner with him as we bring the true meaning of Christmas to 1,000 kids!

This morning before church started, we had the honor to enter into Pastor Demas’ house and pray for his family. 

This morning we made a joyful noise singing about the birth of Jesus.  And who doesn’t love singing “Feliz Navidad”?

Kate shared her testimony today at Pastor Demas’ Church. Her story was very encouraging, she shared about the faithfulness of God in her life. 

Francoises shared her amazing testimony of how Jesus never left her side!

Becca preached an incredible word about the things that can threaten our worship.  The preached Word cut straight to many hearts!

We were able to spend time teaching about Jesus, playing games, and making crafts!  Jesus sent us here to share His love with these precious children.

There was an incredible response to the message and many came forward to realign their lives with Jesus Christ.  

Getting 1,000 people to show up at the Christmas party takes a lot of work!  Today we began passing out invitations in the community. 

Fútbol (soccer) is a great way to gather a crowd here!  We had so much fun!

We had a great turnout at the soccer field as we ended in prayer. 

Pastor Warner has an amazing heart for the Lord and for the lost.  Tonight we were able to pray over him and his ministry. 

Tonight we filled 2,500 bags of water for the Christmas party!  

Today we visited the elderly home to share the love of Jesus. 

Everyone spent time sharing stories and loving on the older generation. 

Many of us were able to share our testimonies with the people at the elderly home. And we sang our Christmas songs too!

We are back at inviting as many as we can to the Christmas party on Wednesday!

We are making new friends at the soccer field and are having so much fun with them!

At the soccer field we found a lot of kids that let us practice face painting on them as we prepare for the big party. 

After all of our afternoon activities, Pastor Warner shared about how God sent Jesus to earth as a baby.  

The party is tomorrow so we are spreading the word!

We are helping Pastor Warner start a new chapter in his life by painting his bedroom!

3,000 hot dogs were removed from their packaging!  We’ve done everything we can do. Now we show up and let Jesus’s shine!

Party day starts on our knees worshiping Jesus and asking the Father to shine Jesus’ love through us!

Although there were about 1,000 people, we took the time to paint faces, do temporary tattoos, and make balloon animals.  

1,000 people is a lot!  Good thing we were organized and full of energy!

We spent the day soaking in the sun, buying souvenirs and swimming in the beautiful water!

We have now started the long journey home. It’s been an incredible week full of God’s faithfulness. We can’t  wait to share all that the Lord did!
