The team safely landed in Boston this afternoon and are all accounted for in Providence. We're out in the city taking in the sites of waterfire before getting some much needed rest. We have a late start tomorrow and are hoping for some good rest!

The team is already hard at work this morning! They've had breakfast put the church back together and are practicing for service later today.
After some practice time we'll head to Prospect Terrace to overlook the city and hear more about the cultural climate of Providence. Church service starts at noon and we'll have our first choir performance during that time. Please pray for us as we get to meet and spend time with the Internacional Ministerio de Vida church!

Rachel one of our Praying Pelican Staff is sharing about the heart of Providence and the people we will be meeting this week. This city is a city ready to hear about who God is and to recieve his love. Please pray for us as we spend time overlooking the city and praying for God to shape our hearts to tackle the week ahead.

During service we got to worship in two languages to our one grand God. It is incredible to hear people from all over singing praises and worshipping together.

The choir did an incredible job this morning singing during service. The church was so excited to hear them and took pictures and videos to remember this special time.

Matt shared a short lesson this morning with all the youth at church! He encouraged that no matter how small or weak we feel we can do great things for God. It was the perfect message not only for the youth of the church but all of tackling a big week of ministry and projects in Providence. We are co fident he is goi g to use us in big ways this week!

We are having a great time hosting a block party at the Providence Rescue Mission. We went into the neighborhood and handed out flyers to invite people, and then spent time serving food, painting faces, playing games and having fun! We are very blessed to have this opportunity to reach out to the community!

Tonight after the block party we went to a beautiful park where we met up with some youth from the church we are staying with this week. We played soccer, threw around a frisbee, and bonded with out fellow team members.

After a delicious dinner cooked by our home church we had our nightly meeting. Tonight we talked about expectations and then reality so far of the trip. It was awesome to hear the diffefent thoughts of what the trip would be like and even to hear those students that came in without any. We're all headed off to bed now and excited to get some much needed reast after our busy day.

We woke up bright and ready to start our ministry at the Providence Rescue Mission this morning! The mission is privately funded and sends out a monthly fundraising letter, so we are spending the morning stuffing envelopes for them to help raise money for their organization! We are super excited to be here and can't wait to see what God is going to do!

Monday night we had an amazing time of fellowship and fun with our friends at Providence Church of Christ. We were blessed to be able to share our gift of singing with them, and in return they blessed us with some traditional Liberian praise music as well. We had so much fun with the kids in the church and spent some time fellowshipping with the congregation over some yummy Liberian desserts!

We sang at El Refugio church on Tuesday night. We were welcomed with lots of smiles and excitement! We also attended a Bible study while we were there and learned about using our talents to glorify God. After singing they even provided us with a dessert of tres leches cake!
