VBS and Work Projects Today

by Karen | July 24, 2010 3:37 PM

This morning was a wonderful time with the children of Orange Walk at VBS. They enjoyed crafts, games, and a skit based on the Parable of the Sower. They are anxious to come back tomorrow and bring their friends. After a wonderful lunch of chicken, rice, and beans we got to work preparing the church walls for paint and clearing debris. Tonight...youth service!

We have had a great turn out of children (and parents) for VBS! Buen Pastor Church is situated right in a neighborhood, many of the children walk to VBS. We are also bussing children from the other Orange Walk neighborhoods. Today we finish up with stories, songs, crafts, sports and more!

VBS Street Soccer

The fun continued this morning as local children enjoyed playing with the team in front of Buen Pastor ("Good Shepherd") Church. Pictured here, one of the local children laughs as he runs during the games. The children here are all smiles!

11:10am, 7/24. Tim recently texted and even though they still do not have their luggage, it is comforting to know the other teams are sharing what they have. We will keep praying for the luggage to arrive!
