They made it!!

by Carlene Cummings | July 2, 2016 10:22 PM

They made it all the way to Belize!! The team had quite a full day today. After dropping their stuff off at the hotel we went to visit an elderly home to talk with the residents. Some people played cards or painted the ladies nails and even sang some songs. Then went to the church to enjoy some local bbq chicken for dinner. Everyone is doing great!

Sunday is church day!

by Carlene Cummings | July 3, 2016 10:57 PM

We had a great day at church all day. The team was able to attend the morning and evening services as well as participate or yeah in Sunday school. Brian had he opportunity to teach about the Holy Spirit in the adult class and many of the students helped teach the other youths. Pastor Jack gave a great sermon about Jonah at both services. The team was also able to see some friends from before and chat and catch up.

Full day of ministry

by Carlene Cummings | July 5, 2016 9:30 AM

Monday was the first full day of ministry. The team started out in the morning with VBS and had about 120 kids show up at the church!!! The kids loved playing games hearing about David and Goliath and making a craft. In the afternoon part of the team started building bunk beds and painting a room of the church. Another part of the team went to get food for food distribution and packed the bags. We ended the night at a park celebrating with the other teams for the 4th of July!

Bunk beds and food boxes

by Pastor Jack | July 5, 2016 11:45 PM

Hey guys, it was a long hot day today. We built four bunkbeds and deliver them to needy families. We also delivered about 5 to 8 food boxes. The youth are doing a great job and really impact in the community. All are healthy and well.

Work hard and Play hard

by Carlene Cummings | July 6, 2016 11:47 PM

The team has been working so hard all week!! They have played with a lot of kids, made bunk beds, and pack and delivered many food bags. So today after VBS we went cave tubing. We were able to take a few of our Belizean friends from the church with us as well. It was a lot of fun and much needed relaxation. Jack ended the night with another great message at the Wednesday night church service. The team was able to pay for one another as well as the church. All over it was a really fun filled day!

To God be the Glory!

by Carlene Cummings | July 7, 2016 11:16 PM

The team finished up their ministry projects today. They were able to bless so many people within the community! Altogether they bought and distributed 20 food bags, built and delivered 5 bunk beds, lead 4 days of VBS and just loved everyone hanging around the church. It was absolutely a blessing to see the smiles on the children's faces as they played on the last day of VBS. They team made great connections with the kids that they will remember forever.

Praise and Worship

by Carlene Cummings | July 7, 2016 11:41 PM

This evening we were able to have a praise and worship night at the church with our great friends. Our PPM trip leader Herman brought his family and friends to sing and lead an amazing worship set. The team was able to say some touching thank you's to the people of the church that helped us all week. The said their "see you laters" and take all the pictures.

Jack, Sue, and Team, You are all so blessed to be able to attend this life changing trip! It breaks my heart that I am not there to serve with you, but I also know God has plans for me here in Jersey. Embrace every moment He allows you to be a part of. Make unforgettable memories with your brothers and sisters in Christ and open your arms to the people of Belize, regardless of their relationship with Jesus Christ. A relationship with you will allow them to grow closer to Him. John 13:34-35 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Be safe, be steady, and be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. With love, Jessie
