We have arrived here in Dolton so stoked for the week!
NCC Sunday service by Scarlett Sauer | July 26, 2015 1:25 PM
"This morning we attended The New Community Church in Dalton. As Anglicans we are used to a more rigid service because of our liturgy. The service at NCC seemed very free formed compared to our church. We started by singing praise music, compared to the centuries old hymns we typically sing at our church, we then prayed together and heard a sermon. Although, it was completely different from what we're used to it was an awesome experience. It let us see a new and amazing way to worship the Lord. I am very thankful for this opportunity and hope to come back next year if I am given the opportunity."

Abandoningby Carissa Hildebrandt | July 28, 2015 12:29 PM
We have been working hard the past two days in Dolton,Il. We've been learning to lay down our lives to glorify God and serve his people. One of the large projects that we've gotten to be a part of is abandoned house clean up. It is so amazing to see what a little bit of love can do to change the community. We also have been praying over the neighborhood and church breaking down spiritual barriers. In the afternoons we head to the park a few blocks away to play with the kids and create a fun safe environment for them to come and relax in. We can't forget that several of our friends from New Community Church have been joining us to work with us!

We joined the church in praying down strongholds over their community which they do every Monday morning!
Abandoned Houseby Scarlett Sauer | July 30, 2015 4:38 PM
"Working at the abandoned houses in Dolton today was hard both mentally and physically. However, both were worth the cost to brighten a wonderful community. The most satisfaction I got from this experience is seeing the before and after pictures. Seeing what people can do when they put their heads together to glorify Gods world is beautiful. " Emma
