We Made It!by Caroline Caver | July 18, 2015 9:50 PM
By the grace of God, we have finally made it to Les Cayes! Our day was filled with plane rides and bus rides, but we are so excited to actually have our feet on the ground.
Will you pray with us throughout the week? Pray that God will move in mighty, mighty ways. That both our lives and the lives of the Haitians will be greatly impacted.
We can't wait to see what God has in store!
Sabbath Sunday!by Caroline Caver | July 19, 2015 7:29 PM
We had such a nice, relaxing Sunday here in Haiti. We started our day with a wonderful time of worship with our Haitian brothers and sisters!
The family of God is so awesome. This morning, there were tree nations represented: Haitian, American, and Canadian. Different languages, backgrounds, cultures. However, One God and Father of all.
We also had the chance to go on a community walk. We can't wait to continue serving in this beautiful community for the rest of the week!
First Day of Ministry!by Caroline Caver | July 20, 2015 8:38 PM
What a greatest day we've had! This morning we got to work on Pastor Jean Delcy's library. We helped pass buckets of gravel that will be used to mix concrete. We also began digging the foundation of the back porch of the library. Pastor hopes to have the roof on the building this week!
After lunch, we had an awesome time of ministry with the children. We taught them the story of the Samaritan woman, played soccer, and made bracelets.
We finished our day with a meeting where Pastor came and shared the story of his kid and his ministry. We had a great Q&A with him before saying our good nights.
Tree Ministry!by Caroline Caver | July 21, 2015 7:57 PM
We had another awesome day here in Granbouchi! Today looked a lot like yesterday. The day started with some of us going to the worksite to continue construction. The rest of us went out in the community to do tree ministry.
For this ministry, we walk around the community, going house to house presenting the Gospel. We share our lives with them, and in turn, they share their lives with us. Today we were honored to lead two people to Christ!
The day ended with another awesome time with the children, fellowshiping with each other, and digging deeper into the Word of God.
Pray that we get a great nights rest before starting our last full day of ministry tomorrow!
Beach Cleanup!by Caroline Caver | July 22, 2015 8:02 PM
This morning we took a walk to the beach! Armed with rakes and gloves, we started to cleanup the trash ad seaweed. Ten minutes into the cleaning process, some of the locals came to help. It was so cool to see the community working together to make their community even prettier!
Kids Ministry!by Caroline Caver | July 22, 2015 8:12 PM
We loved our last day of kids ministry! Today consisted of dance battles, songs, bible study, and musical chairs. We sure are going to miss our new friends!
Rec Day!by Caroline Caver | July 23, 2015 10:41 PM
Today we got to witness even more beauty in Haiti. For our rec day, we went to the beach at Port Salut, swam, and ate freshly caught lobster! Definitely not a bad way to end our time in Haiti!
