They made it! by Marci McMurray | June 13, 2015 10:09 PM
Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church has arrived in Pittsburgh! It was a little later than planned and they were hungry, but they were smiling and glad to be here. Tomorrow is a big day and we have a lot of great things planned so I sent them off for a good nights rest.
We are going to have a fantastic week and I can't wait to see what God has planned for us!

Sunday Morning at Cornerstone by Marci McMurray | June 14, 2015 3:20 PM
Fantastic morning praising God and listening to Pastor Mike at Cornerstone Church! Yep! Their Pastor is Mike too.
Sunday...WOW! by Marci McMurray | June 14, 2015 10:23 PM
Today began with church at Cornerstone with their Pastor Mike and the African Brundi praise team. After church the team headed downtown to the iconic Strip District where they experienced several flavors from many different countries.
After that the Burundi women cooked all 5 PPM teams serving in Pittsburgh this week an authentic African meal (which was delicious, by the way).
Then came the worship service complete with the Burundi worship choir. No words to express the awesome presence of God. I will leave you with these words from the team...
"Today I enjoyed the experience of a new culture. It was very interesting and fun, especially seeing the new and different clothing. Also the songs and dances. My first day was awesome...loved it!"
~Macie
"I got more than I expected or deserved."
~Jesse
"Today I enjoyed the African singers."

Hanging out this morning at Light of Life Reacue Missions. This super cool old tech school is the new home of this organization and we had the opportunity to bless them by with a little help. We even made new friends with some high school students from Pittsburgh volunteering their time today!

Rec Day! by Alyssa Bergstedt | June 16, 2015 10:31 PM
The rain cleared and it was a perfect evening to watch the Pirates beat the White Sox at PNC stadium. The team enjoyed hot dogs, nachos, and all the other delicious treats necessary to eat while watching baseball. It was an awesome way to end a truly awesome day.

The gravel has been poured and spread and Pastor Les could not be more excited about the new church driveway! This has been a project that's been in the works for 4 years and with the help of Big Stevens it finally came to fruition today! We are so excited about the rest of the ministry opportunities going to take place this afternoon.
