Holy Spirit Training

by Lana Thomas | June 14, 2015 7:36 PM

When things didn't go as plan, Dr.Barbara kept going on allowing God to lead her. Speaking powerful, truthful and transformative words into the lived of all who were present. We are called to be disciples, let us praise God and believe that he will give us the tools we need to do his will. Blessings flowed and prayer was implemented. Love and life was breathed into Church of Our Savior in North View Heights.

City on the hill

by Lana Thomas | June 17, 2015 6:59 AM

We ended our Tuesday by taking the incline (a train like cart) up the side of a hill to a place called Point of View. From this place you can over look Pittsburgh. We saw the church we ate at, along with the many bridges we have learned to love as they get across the great landscape. And there we lifted the city up in prayer. God was there. The work we have been doing, the prayers we have been praying, are just advancements in the kingdom here. We are a part of something bigger here, and we are thankful to be apart of it!

Walk by Faith, Not by Sight

by Natalie Saintphard | June 17, 2015 9:13 AM

Pastor Anderson is looking over the city the team diligently serves. If we look with our eyes, it's easy to be overwhelmed. However, we know the God we serve. He is bigger than all of our problems. We don't walk thinking we have to fix it all, we move in obedience knowing God can use us all.

Firefighting the enemy

by Terry Ollison-Davis | June 17, 2015 10:59 AM

On Tuesday we picked up trash and prayed for the area around Sheraden Methodist church. Our groups split into teams, in my team was Martina, elder Karen our trip leader Lana and I. As we walked through the area picking up trash and praying, we were constantly being told people's appreciation and thanks. We stopped at the fire station across the street from the church, and prayed with the firefighters. This was a very humbling experience. It shows that their is people out there that seek out the Lord.
