In Jamaica again!!!by Jon Nelson | March 14, 2015 10:32 PM
We're safe and sound in Trelawny Jamaica as we prepare for a week of ministry serving in schools, in communities and at work sites across the parish. Our group arrived this afternoon in Montego Bay and we made the trek to the camp where we're staying.
Tomorrow we'll be attending local churches and spending time in different communities spending time praying, visiting, and preparing for our ministry the rest of the week.
We are excited about what God has in store for us through the rest of the week. Please pray for safety, health, guidance and success in our ministry!

A Beautfiul Tuesdayby Katelyn Moore | March 17, 2015 7:47 PM
Today was amazing. It was our second day in our classrooms this morning and at our work projects this afternoon. Monday is always the hardest because there's a learning curve as we learn how to handle the classrooms and how to mix concrete, spread mortar, sift sand, drink water, etc...
But Tuesday! There's no stopping us on Tuesday. We've got the classroom thing down and we know what we're doing on our worksites (for the most part). Today was a great day and it was full of hard work! Tired is an understatement. We're totally spent. We're giving it all we've got. God is good and He's great at filling us back up. Tonight that came in the form of a pizza party. Yes that's right, authentic Italian Jamaican pizza and it was delicious!
The teams are in small groups right now. They're talking about the day and preparing for tomorrow. There's deep converstaion and laughter and chatter all around. After this we'll head into another sweet time of worship and some of our college leaders will share a message. Later we'll top it all of with ice cream for our late night snack. (The kids don't know yet so shhh!)
Thank you for your prayers! Energy is needed for tomorrow, as it will be our last day in the classrooms. All is well at Nutshell. :)

Updates Wednesdayby Jon Nelson | March 18, 2015 7:55 PM
Our team is just doing phenomenal. They're exceeding expectations at the schools and work sites. Their attitudes are tremendous and all our leaders are impressed. Today was our third and final day at the Primary Schools. The big exams that were preventing us from being in the schools tomorrow were actually postponed to next week due to a fire in the Kingston area that impacted some of the school's ability to test. If we would have known further ahead we may have planned to be in the schools, but nonetheless, we're very grateful for our time in the classes. This evening as I type our teams are meeting as small groups again. They're processing their experience, discussing their days, and planning for ministry tomorrow.
Tomorrow will include work projects in the morning and visits to hospices, infirmaries, and hospitals in the afternoon.
Pray for our team to finish strong the next couple days. God is good and he continues to reveal himself to us daily!
Final ministry dayby Jon Nelson | March 19, 2015 8:05 PM
Today was our final day serving in ministry. Our teams all worked very hard this morning as they continued their work projects at the various sites. Progress was made, fun was had, and goodbyes were said. It seems as though not only were our teams and leaders all pleased with the progress at the work sites, but the local workmen, pastors and church leaders as well.
This evening our groups are in their small groups again. We're going to gather for a time of worship before we call it a night, and we'll prepare for tomorrow.
Tomorrow's going to be epic. We're heading to Ocho Rios and will be visiting Dolphin Cove! Continue to pray for us, as our mission trip is NOT over. We still bear the name of Christ throughout Jamaica and seek to glorify him in everything we're doing. We're finishing strong and we're excited to bring home stories of success, fun, and victory in Christ!

Asbury prayer roomby Jon Nelson | March 19, 2015 8:25 PM
There's a 24 hour prayer room at Asbury during the spring break mission trips. Here's the long list of those who have dedicated to bathing this and the other trips in prayer. How powerful!
