Serving In Costa Rica
February 21, 2015

Our staff is ready!

by Anna Morgan | February 21, 2015 7:53 AM

Our staff is ready for the team to arrive this afternoon in Costa Rica! God has an amazing week planned. We will be involved in Leadership Trainings for pastors all over the Nicoya area, revival services at night in different locations, children's ministry, and more. We will be working with Pastor Daniel (pictured here) in Colas de Gallos daily to construct a bakery adjoined to his church. The money received from sales of baked goods will be used to further the ministry of the church. There is a sense of expectancy and anticipation among our pastors and staff. We believe God is going to start a revival, save souls, and heal people the team comes into contact with. Please be praying for the team as they travel today, for energy for the long and amazing week ahead, and for God to work in and through us.

We are excited to experience God's presence in a different country. After church we will eat lunch at Ana Belly's and then go to meet Pastor Daniel for the first time. Pray for our team and the relationships they will start today.

Hallelujah Service

by Anna Morgan | February 22, 2015 3:09 PM

This morning we attended a church in Nicoya. Pastor Bryan was able to preach and bless the congregation with words and prayers of healing. The people here are so loving and welcoming. We already feel right at home. The Ticos (what Costa Ricans are called) are ready to receive all that God has to offer this week. Several people came to the front asking for prayers for healing. We truly felt the presence of God in that place. After the service, we went back to Pastor Ana Belly's home for a delicious meal. This afternoon we are in Colas de Gallo leading a service and meeting the people.

The team got straight to work when we arrived at Colas de Gallo this morning. They are working with church members to construct the bakery for Pastor Daniel's church. This is true partnership and genuine relationship - working together for the same goal in Jesus' name. Bryan is meeting with pastors and leaders this morning for the first training in downtown Nicoya.

Revival!

by Anna Morgan | February 23, 2015 11:14 PM

This afternoon we continued with construction and children's ministry. The team worked extremely hard and made a ton of progress on the bakery today! Tonight we held a revival service at another church in the mountain, Juandiaz. It was a beautiful and powerful ceremony. Many were touched, healed, and empowered. The church and surrounding pastors are so grateful for the team coming and sharing the love and glory of God with them. Here is a beautiful picture of the team and pastors together tonight.

The Rich Coast

by Anna Morgan | February 23, 2015 11:17 PM

Costa Rica is translated as "the rich coast" and it's easy to see why. This is just a small glimpse of the scenery we take in each trip up the mountain.

by Anna Morgan | February 24, 2015 12:51 PM

The team has worked extremely hard all morning on the bakery! They have accomplished so much already! Some of our team was able to do a prayer walk around Juan Diaz where we held the service laay night. We were able to pray for the school there, the children, individuals we saw, the pastor and his family, and the church. It was a wonderful time. Bryan is leading the second pastors training in Nicoya. He will join the rest of the team after lunch for an afternoon of more construction and children's ministry.

God's presence is powerful!

by Anna Morgan | February 24, 2015 11:46 PM

Tonight's church service was powerful because it was filled with the presence of God. We worshipped with our Vista arucan brothers and sisters in a nearby church, Harry shared his testimony, and Bryan shared the Word. Many were healed and set free in Jesus' name. Praise the Lord!

Cindy was able to use her gifts and career to bless Pastor Daniel's family. His grandson, Christian, has hydrocephalus and other issues. Cindy was able to do physical therapy on order to increase movement and teach the family exercises he can do to improve his life.

Raise the Roof

by Jacob Morgan | February 25, 2015 12:07 PM

This morning the team is putting the roof up and cement floor down in the bakery! They have worked extremely hard and done the job well. We have been taught a lot about the Costa Rican culture, seen so many differences in how construction is done here, and how to trust on the locals and their ways of doing things. It has been awesome to work alongside the church members and pastor in order to bring the dream of a bakery to life. This bakery will truly have a lasting impact for the church and community. The economy, ministry, and way of life here will be altered forever because of the team's willingness to come, share, and work.

Seeing San Martin

by Anna Morgan | February 26, 2015 7:35 AM

We were able to go see our bus driver, Paator Warner's ministry in a nearby community after our leisure afternoon yesterday. Pastor Warner has a feeding ministry each week and feeds 40-80 each time. The team was able to see the property and hang out with some of the children he loves so dearly.
