Praying Pelican Missions exists to build up, encourage, and assist the local Church, and that includes doing so in a church’s greatest time of need. When disasters strike, the Church is on the front lines of response and relief efforts, working with local authorities and organizing grassroots efforts to meet the pressing needs of their communities. Praying Pelican Missions is committed to coming alongside these efforts, providing the necessary resources, support, and help to advance the work of our local partners.
Praying Pelican Missions has supported church partners through numerous natural disasters including hurricanes, flooding, and earthquakes. Through the generous donations of our network, we meet the physical needs identified by our partners on the ground. Throughout the recovery process, PPM also provides support through our volunteers that provide countless hours of debris cleanup, rebuilding, roof replacement, food distribution, prayer ministry, and more.
Serving In Costa Rica February 21, 2015 Staff: Anna Morgan
Our staff is ready!
by Anna Morgan | February 21, 2015 7:53 AM
Our staff is ready for the team to arrive this afternoon in Costa Rica! God has an amazing week planned. We will be involved in Leadership Trainings for pastors all over the Nicoya area, revival services at night in different locations, children's ministry, and more. We will be working with Pastor Daniel (pictured here) in Colas de Gallos daily to construct a bakery adjoined to his church. The money received from sales of baked goods will be used to further the ministry of the church.
There is a sense of expectancy and anticipation among our pastors and staff. We believe God is going to start a revival, save souls, and heal people the team comes into contact with.
Please be praying for the team as they travel today, for energy for the long and amazing week ahead, and for God to work in and through us.

Pray for our team and the relationships they will start today.
Hallelujah Service
by Anna Morgan | February 22, 2015 3:09 PM
This morning we attended a church in Nicoya. Pastor Bryan was able to preach and bless the congregation with words and prayers of healing. The people here are so loving and welcoming. We already feel right at home. The Ticos (what Costa Ricans are called) are ready to receive all that God has to offer this week. Several people came to the front asking for prayers for healing. We truly felt the presence of God in that place.
After the service, we went back to Pastor Ana Belly's home for a delicious meal. This afternoon we are in Colas de Gallo leading a service and meeting the people.

Costa Rica is translated as "the rich coast" and it's easy to see why. This is just a small glimpse of the scenery we take in each trip up the mountain.

Raise the Roof
by Jacob Morgan | February 25, 2015 12:07 PM
This morning the team is putting the roof up and cement floor down in the bakery! They have worked extremely hard and done the job well. We have been taught a lot about the Costa Rican culture, seen so many differences in how construction is done here, and how to trust on the locals and their ways of doing things. It has been awesome to work alongside the church members and pastor in order to bring the dream of a bakery to life. This bakery will truly have a lasting impact for the church and community. The economy, ministry, and way of life here will be altered forever because of the team's willingness to come, share, and work.
