We Are Here!

by Jacob Morgan | July 21, 2014 4:42 PM

Hello everyone! First, I want to say that we are all here and having a great time! I want to apologize for the website being down over the last 42 hours. We had some updates running that took longer than expected. With that said, we are all doing well and the trip is going great! We had an awesome time in worship Sunday morning. We praised the Lord in 2 languages and worked with the children in children's church! We spent the afternoon getting to know one another and seeing the community. We also played some ultimate frisbee at the soccer field! Today has also been a phenomenal day of ministry. We prepared the church for paint by washing the exterior walls. This afternoon we are having VBS and having a blast with the children. Again, I'm sorry for the blackout in communication! We will keep you updated on the progress this week! Pray for opportunities to share Christ in the community and for continued stamina for the week ahead!

Painting Away!

by Jacob Morgan | July 22, 2014 11:11 PM

The team did awesome work today. We started the morning painting the outside if the church. They finished the main parts of the building outside and did it all in under 3 hours! It was hard work, but they were all up for the task. We spent the afternoon with the children at VBS. The kids heard about the love of Jesus, played some games, did a craft, had their faces painted, and enjoyed a snack. It was a fun time watching children smile and laugh. After VBS, we had an opportunity to go play soccer with some of the local teens. It was an impromptu time of cultural experience. Everyone had a great time and the Costa Ricans had fun laughing at some of our soccer skills! Pray for safety on our canopy tour tomorrow morning and a good nights rest!

Finishing Strong!

by Jacob Morgan | July 24, 2014 10:09 PM

Well, we are coming to an end of the ministry week here in Barranca, Costa Rica. We spent the morning finishing the painting at the church. We have painted the entire church this week! It has been hard work, but the team did a phenomenal job! We spent the afternoon doing VBS for our last time. The children just loved being here this week and really felt the love of Jesus. They were sad it was our last day. They hugged everyone and made sure to thank each person. It was precious! It has been an awesome week in ministry here and the team is sad to be leaving in the morning. Pray that God will continue to be glorified in the community and that the church will be enabled for continued service! Also, pray for safety as the team travels to the beach tomorrow!

Well, we had an awesome last day here in Costa Rica. We were able to do some shopping and spend several hours on the beach. We had a blast jumping in the waves and playing on the beach! We finished the day eating pizza and sharing our highlights from the week! It has been an amazing week in ministry! Pray for safety as our teams leave tomorrow!
