Double Doseby Mel Trollman | March 24, 2014 12:54 AM
It was a special day at West-Side Church of God: Pastor Appreciation Day. The team enjoyed not one but two sermons from guest pastors. The worship was energetic and both messages really spoke to the heart. The most important lesson they learned was that God will use people in miraculous, unfathomable ways. Praying that the Lord does just that this week as the team starts their mission work tomorrow.

The Artworkby Mel Trollman | March 24, 2014 1:21 AM
The murals and sculptures in the sanctuary and throughout the building were intricate and beautiful. It was evident that many hands had worked to create the breath-taking artwork on the walls.
God's Teamby Mel Trollman | March 24, 2014 1:52 AM
We took a group photo of the entire team outside San Xavier Mission. The Creekside Community Church is conjoined with another great team called Peace Lutheran Church from North Dakota. The two teams have blended well together because it is evident that we are all on the same team for Christ.

The team members were encouraged to get a feel for the different cultures in the area and talk to people as they walked around, learn about them and let God work through the conversations as they unfold.

They separated into several groups and scattered around the neighborhood. They talked to people who were home, and left a flier if they weren't. Hopefully many kids from the neighborhood will come to Kid's Club in addition to the children from the church.

Church on the Streetby Mel Trollman | March 25, 2014 6:31 AM
Next the team went to a neat place called Church on the Street. It's a place where the homeless, the addicts, the struggling and unloved can go receive shelter, food, compassion and love. Moments after they arrived, they circled up and prayed for the ministry they were about to be a part of.
