Creekside Community Church

Pastor Sean Bailey is looking forward to welcoming the Creekside team to Westside Church. We look forward to posting pictures and updating this trip journal as we have internet access. Thanks for your prayers throughout the week!

On Sunday we got up and came to together for conversational areas training. We learn some picture stacks to help us have conversations with new people throughout the week. Church started at 10:30. We took in a different type of worship service as Pastor Bailey is from Jamaica. We enjoyed getting to know some members of the church at the potluck after the church service. Next we traveled down the road to visit the oldest church in Tucson (Our group picture was taken at the church). We then came together in the evening for a service with another church. (See the picture) It has been a great start to the week. Thanks for your prayers!

This morning we took some time to plan out VBS in groups with the Chapel Church. We will be having VBS Monday through Thursday from 6 - 8PM.

This morning after VBS planning we started to work on some service projects around the church. The first project we started was to paint the church's shed.

We took some time to sand the wood down on the shed and take out any staples and nails sticking out before we began painting.

Now we are painting the shed in the warm sun of Tucson!

We have been enjoying playing games, doing crafts, singing, and sharing God's love and Word with the children of Tucson this week!

On Tuesday night we had a special time of prayer at the end of our VBS day.

On Wednesday Morning we went out to Gate's Pass to dig into the Word of God. Afterward we spent some time hiking around.

We were able to enjoy views like this today as we hiked around!

Creekside spent two mornings with Caring Ministries during the week. This ministries provides food and clothing for needy families in the state of Arizona and in Mexico.

Caring Ministries was excited to host us as they run their ministry through volunteers!

Our Last full day in Tucson was tremendous! We had a VBS block party where many NEW people turned out to fellowship. At the end of the week we took the opportunity to prayer over the people and the church. Thanks again for your prayers throughout this week. We were blessed by those prayers and this great experience!
