Beechwood Church

We have arrived safe and sound in Puerto Rico!! We had about a 2 hour drive from San Juan to Ponce where we will be staying this week. We stopped about halfway for an awesome Puerto Rican dinner at a roadside restaurant. We are all looking forward to seeing how God works in and through us this week. We are headed to bed early so we are ready to lead worship tomorrow morning.

We participated in a wonderful church service this morning. A few team members shared their testimonies. Dean and Annie spoke about finding joy and happiness in The Lord. We opened and closed with a few worship songs. Some of the church members sang for us as well. It was neat to worship in another language. Even though we couldn't understand what they were singing, it is cool to know we are all worshipping the same God. This afternoon we headed into the community to prayer walk and invite kids to join us for VBS this week. We are looking forward to seeing how God works in and through us this week.

We had a wonderful week serving The Lord through painting and cleaning the school, visiting nursing home residents and children's ministry at the park. We also grew in our relationships with God and each other. Here is a picture of our team praying over the classrooms we painted and cleaned and for the teachers and students who will return to school on Monday.
