The team arrived safe and sound! For many this is our first mission trip and we are excited to be here in Alaska and here to serve!! We saw a moose on the drive to the campsite last night and after church today, the team went to Hatcher’s Pass!! The views were magnificent and the sites were incredible!! Today was a great day to enjoy the scenery right before the work week begins!!

This evening we ended the night with an ice cream social in honor of National Ice Cream Day! We invited our friends, BASIC, brothers and sisters in Christ, to join us! Austin gave an exceptional devotion on pursuing God! This was fitting for our upcoming week!

Started off our week of ministry at Little Beaver camp with various projects. Some of the team is repainting the bunk houses!

The guys are having fun taking out the old stairs and replacing them for the camp!

This week we’re not just going deeper with God, we’re deep cleaning the camp too!!!

We dug into every nook and cranny!! And peep the scripture in the back, “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭31‬ ‭ESV

Even in our cleaning, we did it with a great attitude and unto God!!

It's not about the cleaning, it's about having a good attitude and serving! This week we're serving at Little Beaver Camp and helping Rick and Trudy get to things that would be untouched for quite a while!!

It’s a tedious job but someone has to do it!!!

A little over halfway done with the steps! These steps have been closed for about two weeks now so it will definitely be a big help for the camp.

We have another team here this week from Colorado and we teamed up with them for a fun scavenger hunt around the camp! It has been fun building connections and serving together!

After some exploring, serving, dinner, and devotion the guys went out to try some fly fishing.

Someone in the community donated a playground set to Alaska Healing Hearts who we partnered with today. So the team went to load it up and deliver it for families to use in the future on retreats at Alaska Healing Hearts!

We spent the afternoon helping a senior veteran by stacking wood to help him prepare and stay warm for the winter months!

Finished up the steps today! The guys worked hard and the staff at Little Beaver Camp have been so appreciative of all the work that has been completed this week!

After finishing up work at the camp the team went out into the community to help a family with some home improvement projects. The family was very thankful and excited to have a birthday party in their own backyard in the near future!

What was supposed to be a work day, turned out to be a day we soaked up the sun! We packed up the van and headed out to Talkeetna to view Denali! We saw the peak!!!!

Facts!! The team played a scavenger hunt with the other team! It was great to have everyone come together!!

We were there to move a swing set, but we had to test it out first!!

But this is why we’re really here!!

We loaded up the swing set and were ready to go!

We loaded up, delivered and set up a swing set for Alaska Healing Hearts! Now families can enjoy the retreat center, relaxing, with the kids nearby on the swings!!

We finished!! It was such an accomplishment!!

Today the team helped a young mom and her baby, by cleaning up her yard!!

The team transformed the backyard then made it even more special by hanging a hammock!!

We finished what we started and it was amazing!! What would have taken days, as a team we came together and did it in four hours!!!

Our last day at camp and we were blessed with sunshine!! The perfect day to kayak and BLOB!!!

Had to test out the steps with the group before we left camp! Great work this week!

Well it’s that time! It's time for us to wish our friends from Alabama, farewell!! It has been wonderful and a blessing to serve along side you all! Thank you for your willing hearts and all of your flexibility! This week has been memorable and we are so thankful for you all and the work you accomplished! You truly made a difference in the lives of many this week! You hands down, whole heartedly, reflected the heart of Jesus and we are honored to have worked with you!! Our prayer is, that you take everything from this past week home with you and go stir up the hearts of others back home and in your surrounding cities! Blessings my friends! We love you all!
