Heart of Longmont

After a long travel day and a good night’s sleep, we are enjoying our first official day in Alaska! We are so excited for what this week has in store for us!

After church, we ventured into the great wilderness of Alaska, driving around Hatcher Pass!

Today, most of our group was helping clean around Little Beaver Camp. These girls cleaned the game room, where we spend most of our time playing ping pong!

After lunch, we worked as a team to clean up the kitchen and made it sparkle!

While some of our team cleaned, a few of our boys joined the other team building stairs for the camp.

Our girls helped the other PPM team in making dinner… baked potatoes!

Seven of our team members headed over to the Eagle River Presbyterian Church/Food bank. There, we sorted rice, boxes, and cans of food!

Happy Birthday Bryce! We celebrated Bryce’s birthday with cake and soda!

We took a trail to the beautiful lookout point!

We started off the day with an impromptu trip to Talkeetna to see Denali. Unfortunately we only got little glimpses of the snow-capped peaks. But what an amazing experience!

Today, Brayden and Kam were helping more with the steps for Little Beaver!

We spent the afternoon hanging out and doing kids ministry with Safe Harbor!

In between ministries we went to get ice cream at Wild Scoops!

Our second part of ministry was doing a hotdog cookout for the kids and families at Safe Harbor!

Brayden, Kam, and Ethan helped by putting the ketchup and mustard on the hotdogs.

That wraps up our week for ministry! We are so grateful for Pastor Ben letting us come serve alongside him, as well as the staff at Little Beaver Camp!
