Hello Gilbert!
by Alisha Sloane | August 8, 2026 6:35 PM
We’re here! Our team finally arrived after a long day of travels. We are so excited to join Promise Christian Fellowship this week!

Great Are You Lord!
by Alisha Sloane | August 9, 2026 11:00 AM
This morning, our team joined Promise Christian Fellowship in worship! Despite being from different states, we became ONE as we lifted our hands in praise.

Who Am I?
by Alisha Sloane | August 9, 2026 11:01 AM
This morning Don, Patrick, & Aaron had the opportunity to share about the importance of missions and even share testimonies with Promise Christian Fellowship! We were able to reflect on the ways God has changed our lives and called us.
Romans 10:9-10 says, “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”

Matewan!
by Alisha Sloane | August 9, 2026 9:53 PM
After church, our team took the time to explore Southern West Virginia! We took a trip to Matewan to see the hype behind the wall. In the small town, there is a flood wall and gate to protect it from the floods! We learned about the history of the town, Hatfield & McCoy’s, and were able to take some sweet pictures! Along the way, we were in awe of God’s beauty on display throughout His creation.

Promise Christian Fellowship
by Emma Hughes | August 10, 2026 7:59 PM
What a great day getting to serve Promise Christian Fellowship. Today we spent the day painting, cleaning, and putting in a new door. It was such a blessing to come alongside the church. So grateful for the opportunity to help make a difference in this community and to see God work.

Watching Paint Dry!
by Alisha Sloane | August 10, 2026 9:50 PM
After lunch, our team went over to Isaban Church of God! We cleaned out some classrooms, and painted two rooms!

Linking Arms!
by Alisha Sloane | August 10, 2026 9:52 PM
At Isaban COG, we met Pastor Cynthia. It was such a joy to hear her story, and to see the way that God is working here! We had the opportunity to pray over her and her church. Her church is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, proving that He isn’t done yet!

Blessings, One Cart At A Time!
by Alisha Sloane | August 11, 2026 10:06 PM
This morning, our team went to Foodland to buy groceries! We were given the name of a household who could really use a blessing. Afterwards we delivered the groceries, and were able to pray. It was a gift to us as they opened their home for us to enter into so we can know them, love them, and pray for them!

Sharing the Love- Food Boxes
by Emma Hughes | August 11, 2026 10:11 PM
Today we had the opportunity to hand deliver-food boxes families and individuals. It was such a blessing to not only provide food but to hear their stories, and to show the love of Christ to them. We are grateful to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Sippin on Luxe!
by Alisha Sloane | August 12, 2026 10:41 PM
This morning, we got a sweet treat at Gilbert’s local coffee shop, Sippin on Luxe! It was a great way to support a local business, all while getting energy to jump into our third and final day of ministry!

Exploring Gilbert
by Emma Hughes | August 12, 2026 10:48 PM
After the morning coffee run we came across this beautiful mural here in Gilbert. Although today’s the last day of ministry we are so grateful to have had this opportunity to be here, serve the community, build relationships, and fellowship. It has been such a blessing seeing how God work through our time here. But we know that the mission doesn’t end here. We will carry what we’ve learned here in everything we do.

Professional Painting!
by Alisha Sloane | August 12, 2026 10:48 PM
Day two of painting at Isaban Church if God, and we feel like professionals! We were so excited to come back to Pastor Cynthia’s church to finish what we started on Monday. The Lord has been so good in getting us here, and allowing us to see work come to completion! In addition, some of our gentlemen were able to deliver more food boxes!

Hatfield Family Cemetery
by Emma Hughes | August 12, 2026 10:54 PM
Today we had the opportunity to go Hatfield family cemetery in West Virginia. It was such a meaningful experience to learn more about the Hatfield family and the community history around here. We are so grateful to be able to explore the area and learn more about the rich Appalachia history.

Community Blessings
by Alisha Sloane | August 12, 2026 10:55 PM
This evening, our team was invited to join Promise Christian Fellowship for their Wednesday night meal and Bible study! Our very own member, Patrick, had the opportunity to present what God has laid on his heart to some of the congregation as he led them in God’s Word. We enjoyed a tasty meal prepared by Turtle. It was a beautiful way to wrap up the week, even though we are sad to say goodbye. Our team will forever hold Gilbert in our hearts, and continue to stand by their side in prayer and support. The Lord is doing crazy cool things here, and we are blessed to carry these stories home!
