Elyria Christian School Seniors

We have arrived to Puerto Rico! our first stop is Piñones for some delicious pinchos!

After a two hour drive, we have arrived in Moca. We are taking some time to settle in and speak to Pastor Fernando. We cant wait to see what God has for us this week!

This morning we are joining the congregation of Iglesia Metodista Un Nuevo Amanecer in their Sunday service. We are blessed to praise and worship alongside our brothers and sisters in Puerto Rico!

This afternoon we are walking around the neighborhood sharing prayer, worship and the word of God! We got to pray over a lot of people and share the church's information for those who need a place to go.

We are at the front stairway of the church scraping off the old grip tape and power washing so that we can replace the take making it safer to walk.

Along with the stairs we are also cleaning up the yard, picking up leaves and removing soil from the cement. Though it is hot we are glad to be able to do this work as a group and serve the church!

We are preparing bags for our back to school night at Moca Housing! The theme of the night is “Going back to school with Jesus”.

We are having a great time at Moca Housing playing games with the kids and sharing the word of God. It's beautiful to see how God works even when there is a language barrier.

This morning we are visiting the Elderly alongside Pastor Fernando. We are taking the opportunity to talk to them, sing, play games and give them sandwiches and coffee.

We are back in front of Un Nuevo Almanecer this afternoon to clean up the garden! We are plucking weeds and picking up trash.

Today we are able to lay down the grip tape on the stairs insuring everyone's safety as they walk into the Lord's house.

We are starting our painting project at the church! We are so blessed to be able to help Pastor Fernando beautify this house of worship.

We are wrapping up our day in the most perfect way, swimming at the beach! We are having so much fun sharing as a team and debriefing about our day!

This morning we are buying plants for the front of the church. We can’t wait to plant them!

This morning we are continuing our work projects at the church! We are going all hands on deck to get as much of the front completed!

This afternoon we are back at handstand and Moca Housing! This time we are giving out groceries to families Pastor Fernando had identified. We are so blessed to be able to pray over them as we give them these bags.

Tonight we are joining the congregation in their prayer service.

We are finishing up the work projects that we started around the church before leaving! Today we are being help by a couple of the church members and working side by side to finish painting, cleaning and anything else that needs changing.

This afternoon we are wrapping up our work projects alongside Pastor Fernando! We have been so blessed by him this week and we pray that everything that we have done here is of great blessing to him and his congregation.

Tonight are enjoying the bioluminescent bay in Lajas. We are doing an excursion in chiliboats.

Today Pastor Fernando is giving each of us a flag of Moca, pin of the crest of the town and a certificate recognizing the work we have been doing at the church throughout the week. We are so thankfulfor all the ways Pastor has shown his appreciation and hope he knows how much we appreciate him.

We are officially leaving Moca and though we are sad to go, we are so happy to have made all these new connections and meet fellow brothers and sisters in Christ!

We are at the airport and ready to go! This we has been very impactful and we are so grateful to have been able to serve and plant seeds that will grow the community of Christ. This is not the end but the start of a new chapter were we will continue to our work for the Lord.
