We arrived safely in El Salvador, and we’re so excited to see what God has in store for us and for the community we’re here to serve this week.

Food Distribution Items!

This morning we went shopping for the food and cleaning supplies we are going to share with the community in El Desagüe. We are so excited to get to know them and to pray for them. It’s going to be a blessing for all of us!

Time with Pastor

We finally got to meet Pastor Julio and see the church where we will be serving! Pastor shared about his testimony, how the Lord called him into ministry, and about the community of Desagüe. We prayed over his health, his ministry, and his family. We are thankful to be part of what God is doing here!

Making Tortillas

Lake Views

We walked around the community of El Desagüe and got to see the beautiful Lake Guija! This is where many people in the community fish for their livelihood.
(P.S. Those mountains in the distance are in Guatemala!)

Fishermen Ministry

We shared our testimonies and the Gospel with some of the fishermen in town, prayed for each individual, and then gave them some basic food supplies for their families.

Pupusas!!

We got to try the national food of El Salvador and it did not disappoint!! Pastor’s wife Irma and daughter Lety make some incredible pupusas!

Youth Ministry

In the nearby park, we played basketball and soccer with some of the local youth. We also worshipped, shared a testimony and devotion, and enjoyed fellowship!

VBS Day 1!

This morning we got the chance to share with these beautiful kids. We shared a bible story and had so much fun making crafts.

Electricians for a Day

Our work crew is helping to replace light fixtures this afternoon! Next steps will be to start adding the ceiling tiles. The new drop ceiling will help cool off the church and add a nice finishing touch inside!

Food Distribution Time!

We wish you could feel all the love captured in this photo. Today was such a special day as we spent time with Catarina, who welcomed us into her home with so much joy and the warmest hugs. We came hoping to be a blessing, but we left feeling even more blessed. We truly received far more than we could have ever given.

Role Models

During tonight's church service, we worshipped and shared our stories and a message with our Salvadorean church family. As we sing and worship, little eyes are watching and following our example!

A Birthday Blessing

Hannah celebrated her birthday all day long!! After sharing her story during church tonight, Pastor gave her a precious blessing over he life! The church members prayed over her and hugged her as well!

Jesus is My Superhero!

For Sunday School with the kids, we shared the story about how Jesus called the disciples to be fishers of men. They got to make their own fish & fishing pole, and we also sang some songs such as the favorite: Jesus is my superhero!

Sunday Service!

This morning, we worshiped and praised the Lord together in unity. Even with a language barrier, we celebrated with joyful hearts, knowing that God’s love is spoken through hugs, smiles, and the fellowship we share.

Dropped Ceiling Project

Metapán, the White City!

Kids ministry!

This afternoon, we had the privilege of sharing God’s love with a group of enthusiastic and energetic children in a beautiful place near the lake. We had so much fun and truly enjoyed every moment together.

Prayers of Blessing

During our goodbye service, we shared our gratitude with the church and they expressed their gratitude for us. With powerful prayer, they asked the Lord for blessings over our lives and ministry. As much as we have given this week, we have also received.

Family in Christ

Before we head back to San Salvador for our fun day, we spent some time in prayer for the ladies that have prepared our breakfasts this week. We are so thankful!

Historic Center!

We spent our afternoon exploring, eating, and souvenir shopping in the historic center of San Salvador. It was fun to have some free time and get to see more of the country! Then we enjoyed an evening in the hotel pool before packing up to head home tomorrow.
