The Lord's Day!
by Joana Herrera | July 5, 2026 4:53 PM
We thank God for granting us a very beautiful, warm, sunny morning. After a delicious breakfast, we had our devotional time and later on got ready to attend Sunday service. This Sunday church service was a very special one since we got to participate in the Lord's supper(Communion) led by our very own group leader, Luke.

Let Go and Let God!
by Joana Herrera | July 5, 2026 11:47 PM
Tonight’s church service was led by the team’s worship group and the word was preached by our youth pastor, Luke. We learned that the Lord wants us to come before him and surrender ourselves to him and him only! He is there for us despite anything that we might be going through. Blessed be the name of our Lord!

Home Visits
by Derwin Rosa | July 6, 2026 5:47 PM
Today we started our full day of ministry. After having a delicious breakfast we were divided into two groups. One group went to paint and the other went to visit families. We took a blessing bag, heard their stories and we prayed over them. Cecilia whom we visited is a farmer and she was so welcoming, sweet and kind. She even gave us some raspberries and zucchini from her farm. What a blessing it was to visit families from Benque.

VBS Day 1
by Derwin Rosa | July 6, 2026 6:03 PM
Set Sail! This year’s VBS theme first day was successful. Throughout the VBS , the children enjoyed energetic worship songs, exciting games, creative crafts, and many fun activities that kept them engaged and smiling. Most importantly, they learned valuable biblical lessons through the story of Noah, discovering what it means to trust and obey God even when circumstances seem uncertain. As we “set sail” on this journey together, we were reminded that God is always faithful.

Men’s Night
by Derwin Rosa | July 6, 2026 10:13 PM
Later in the evening our guys had an incredible time with the local men from church. As we played pool and enjoyed the other activities we were also able to know the men from the local church a bit more.

Lady’s Night
by Derwin Rosa | July 6, 2026 11:15 PM
Tonight, the ladies had an incredible time fellowshipping with the women from the local church. We shared a devotional based on the story of Mary and Martha and spent time discussing the lessons we can apply to our daily lives. As we enjoyed giving manicures, meaningful conversations flowed naturally, and everyone was actively engaged. It was a wonderful evening filled with laughter, encouragement, and genuine connection. Above all, tonight was a reminder of the importance of being intentional—taking time to listen, share, and build relationships with one another.

Friendships
by Derwin Rosa | July 6, 2026 11:22 PM
We also had the opportunity to spend time with some dear friends from Dunamis Ministries this evening. It was a blessing to reconnect, catch up on all that God has been doing in our lives and ministries, and enjoy meaningful fellowship together.
Paint Day No. 2-Picnic Benches
by Shari Somerville | July 7, 2026 2:41 PM
Thanking the Lord for a new day. We were back at it again this morning. New crew today at Howard Smith Nazarene. Feeling accomplished as only a few more picnic benches are left to be painted. We came with a game plan and initiated that plan as soon as we got to the school. The picnic benches are looking A-MA-ZING!!!!
Grateful to be a part of this amazing team down here in Benque and being able to help out with the school.

Paint Day No. 2-School Front
by Shari Somerville | July 7, 2026 2:46 PM
No place is too high that we aren’t able to reach when it comes to painting. Got to finish the small side of the front entrance of school today. We came ready to work and got this done in no time. Excited to come back and get the rest done on Thursday morning, lord willing. Can’t wait to see the finished results.

Day 2 of Home Visits
by Shari Somerville | July 7, 2026 3:42 PM
Taking the love of Jesus into the homes of families in Benque Viejo Town has been so rewarding. We thought we were bringing blessings to them, but got quite the surprise, as we were the ones being blessed. No matter their circumstances, we were welcomed into their homes with smiles on their faces. They told us their stories and at the end, we were able to pray with them. How good God is!!! He is known in all countries and in all languages.

VBS Day 2
by Shari Somerville | July 7, 2026 5:01 PM
Another great day of VBS. 75 kids showed up for some fun with us. There was dancing, ball toss competition, paint class and story telling and Touth Experience. The story today was about when Jesus was asleep on the boat and the storm arose. The disciples were afraid and had to wake Jesus up. With the power he had, he commanded the sea to be quiet and still and instantly it was quiet and the sea was calm. This Bible teaches us that the same power Jesus had, he gave to us. We can trust and believe that when we call on his name, even the seas need to be calm.

Youth Night
by Shari Somerville | July 7, 2026 8:43 PM

Colossians 3:23
~Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord and not for men!
And that’s exactly what the painting crew did. They did an amazing job painting the walls of the school and the picnic tables.

VBS was such a big blessing to us as much as it was to all the 90 kids who attended our VBS. All the praise and glory be to God!
After VBS, we made way to our last closing meeting at pastor’s Cano house. We are so grateful for what the Lord did this week! He came through in so many ways. And we are looking forward to coming back next year if the Lord permits.
