We arrived safe and sound. Can’t wait to get this week started!!

This morning we went to church at New Community Church, this is one of our partners for the week and our VBS will be taking place here!

This afternoon we are going downtown for a rec day before we begin a week full of service for the Lord.

We had a blast downtown. Now time for dinner at Giordano Chicago style!

Today we got to tour and work at the ABBA Center. We got to see the amazing work of Dr Nicole Scott and her team.

We are to put new drywall and mud for a new nonprofit coming into the ABBA center.

Another activity this afternoon was working to remove all of the glue that was stuck to the floor after the recent flooding caused the old flood to be removed.

One of the other projects assigned for the day was to take down water damaged ceiling tiles from inside the old church.

This morning we got the opportunity to begin the restock for a full day of service in the food pantry. For the next four hours almost two hundred people will be able to come to the pantry and receive free groceries.

For the majority of our morning we helped pass out and bag groceries and Free N Deed market.

After working in the food pantry in the morning, we got to help the Abba center by opening up some walls so they can expand where the food pantry normally is.

On Wednesday we spent most of the day finishing up various projects around the Abba center. We also had some of us working in the food pantry handing out food.
