Storyhill Church

Thank you Lord for journey mercy today. After our arrival at the Belize International airport, we were met by our local team that will be with us for the week. After our reunion, we got on our yellow school bus and made our way to San Ignacio. Made it safely to our home for the next week- Good Stay Hotel.

What a surprise! We arrived at Pastor Cano’s home, where we will be eating for the next week, and was greeted by a welcome sign and balloons. Feeling at home already.

Pastora heard it was Dustin’s birthday and after dinner she surprised him with a birthday jello cheesecake. When I say we are feeling the love, we are feeling the love!!!

Grateful for a wonderful sunny morning. We attended the Sunday school service where the local pastor shared a reflection that God is good all the Time . It doesn’t matter who we are we are all special and he will forever be with us.

After lunch, we organized some groceries for it to bless 30 Families from the community of Benque Viejo del Carmen. We had the privilege to pack them and are ready to be gifted soon to this lovely families.

At night we gathered again as one body in Christ. We came along and worshipped together. We were blessed to hear the message shared by Pastor Josh from Storyhill Church. He spoked what is valuable is almost always revealed through difficult process in life .(Luke22)we know God allows it to mold us to be better persons and so that we can also grow in different aspects of our lives.

Team work makes dream work!

We are beyond blessed to be serving at Benque Nazarene Church for the second time .

We painted five picnic benches here at Howard Smith Nazarene Primary School today. Felt good just focusing on the painting and nothing else. Good soother for the mind.

On one of our home visitations, we were invited into the home of someone who owned a small tortilla factory and she gave us an opportunity to make the corn tortilla that she sells at her store. She was such a great instructor- So fun to do!!!

Awesome reminder!!!

W had 70 kids in attendance at VBS yesterday, 3rd August. There was music, dancing, crafts, Bible story and sports. We had so much fun with the kids. Felt good to see some of the ones in attendance that we met last year and what made it more special was that they remembered us. Another awesome day here in Benque Viejo!!!

We completed our painting project today . It was a great to see the turnout and we are so Happy that when the school reopens the kids will enjoy to see their school looking enchanting .

(2Corinthisns9-7) open heartedly with love , we had the pleasure to meet more wonderful families. They were so kind and so welcoming when receiving us.We got to know more about their life experiences and testimonies .At the end we blessed them with bags of Groceries.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" are the words of Jesus. “(Matthew 19:14). We had lots of Fun today at Vbs , playing games listening to the Bible story and doing some songs ! We had like 96 kids today .

We had a friendly football game tonight between Belize and our friends from USA . It was such a fun and exciting match. At the end Belize became the Champions of the match.

We got up very early and hit the road this morning. Our first stop was cave tubing!!! Beautiful day to spend in the water and learn about the history of the cave by Jaguar Paw.

Next stop on our rec day was Ziplining. Woohoo!!! Had so much fun flying through part of one of beautiful jungles of Belize.

A few of us worked on helping a local family replace the side of their home that was in dire need of a new wall. With the help of Pastor Cano, we tore down the ruined wall and put up the new one. What a blessing it was to share our talents together and work as a team to get the job done. Praise the Lord for his hands upon us in this heat…

We went out this evening, and gave out the last ten packages of food. In total, we were able to bless 30 families in Benque Viejo with a food package. It is just such an honor to go around and visit and meet with the community. Praise the Lord!!

As we sit and break this final meal together at the Cano’s home, we thank God for the week we had and the wonderful meals that we were served. All praise belongs to the Lord!!!
