Brandywine Valley Church

We have arrived safely in El Salvador, and we are very excited to see what God has prepared for the community. We have come to serve.

We gathered together for a late night snack of pizza and to review the guidelines and expectations of the week. God has a purpose for each one of us to be here, and we cannot wait to encourage the local churches this week!

We were blessed to have participation at the church service. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. We worshiped, shared testimonies and shared the message. It was a beautiful time.

At the end of the service, pastor Monica prayed for us alongside the church. It was a beautiful time to pray for one another.

We went to a soccer field to watch the church's game. And also we had the opportunity to play with the kids there. It was a fun time to learn more about the congregation.

Pastor Monica shared a bit about her testimony and how God called her into ministry. She's such an inspiration and a true example of faith. We love her and her family so much.

We visited Surf City. It's a beautiful place and we were blessed to be with some members from pastor Monica's church.

This morning we had the privilege to share the love of God with Pastor Jose and the people of Casa de Dios church. We sang, we shared our testimonies and we reflected together.

Today we had a wonderful time with Pastor Jose and his wife Nancy. They are such great people and we really enjoyed hearing their stories.

We prayed for Pastor Jose, his family and their needs! We asked God that He continues supporting their ministries.

Today alongside pastor Monica's church, we shared food, smiles, and God's love with the community. It was a blessing to serve others and be reminded that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Today we had a wonderful time at VBS with Pastor Monica’s church. We divided into different stations for games, Bible stories, and crafts, creating a fun and engaging experience for the 70 children who attended. We also shared a small snack and enjoyed building relationships with the kids. It was a joyful day filled with laughter, learning, and the love of God.

Tonight, we joined Pastor Monica’s church for a special prayer service. We shared testimonies of what God has been doing, worshiped together through song, and prayed for one another. It was a meaningful time of fellowship, encouragement, and unity as we gathered to seek the Lord together.

We went to buy food and cleaning supplies for 95 families, as well as 70 police kits and VBS snacks. Then we packed the supplies and prayed over them. This week we will use these supplies to share the Gospel and minister to those in need.

Today we witnessed the power of God at work. We prayed to strengthen the spirit of the police officers and show them that even if they leave their families, God will always be with them and they will never be alone.

We had a time filled with wisdom and joy with the kids. We shared the story of Jonah and then did crafts related to it. We witnessed God's hand at work to bring us good weather.

On our second day of food distribution we blessed 25 families. We prayed for them and got to know them a bit. They showed so much love.

Last night we had the privilege of spending time with young people from the community near the church Casa de Dios of Pastor José. We had a very special time of worship and games.

The kids were really excited to play and learn about Jesus. And for the craft they painted a hat. It was a beautiful time. And we were blessed with the presence of their parents.

Pastor Monica and her husband got two piñatas for the kids. We had so much fun. Every day is a good day to celebrate.

We had a wonderful youth activity tonight. We sang. Had fun with games and learned about the importance of guarding our hearts. God is good.

Even though we are serving in two different churches and communities, we are also enjoying the time we have together! We know God brought us here and we are thankful to grow and serve together.

We give thanks to the Lord for Josh who did a great job sharing the word of God in English and Spanish at the same time in our service. We are called to do that—to put our gifts at the service of God and our community.

Today we continued serving the community alongside Pastor Monica’s church through food distribution. It was a blessing to share food, encouragement, prayers and God’s love with the families we met.

Today, the community of Asuchillo blessed our team with handmade flowers as a thank you for the love, service, and blessings shared over the past three days. This thoughtful gesture touched our hearts and reminded us of the meaningful relationships that were built through serving together. We are grateful for the opportunity to share God's love with this community.

Today, the children learned about why Jesus died on the cross and the great love He showed for us through His sacrifice. We enjoyed spending time together through Bible lessons, games, and decorating bracelets as a reminder of God’s love. It was a fun and meaningful day filled with learning, creativity, and joy.

We were preparing and cleaning the land to make a base and put in the water tank to improve the water system and make their services more comfortable.

On our second day of VBS, we enjoyed every moment and laughter with the children. We sang, learned about the Bible and showed them God's love. Then we had a sporty and energetic afternoon.

Today, we helped the church in its evangelism and felt God's presence in every encounter with the people of the community; we let God use us to magnify His name.

In El Salvador, paint needs to be refreshed frequently due to the humidity. Usually Pastor José paints the entire church himself, but he hasn't had time. We were able to add a new coat of paint and the church looks so much better!

The group with Pastora Monica spent some time in the community of Zaragoza this morning, visiting a couple families near the church and evangelizing in the park.

Pastor Monica's group went to a park and talked to different people there. Got the beautiful opportunity to talk about Christ and to play soccer with them.

Pastor Monica's group held VBS with the kids in the community of Santa Teresa. We were blown away by how many children came. God is good.

We had a wonderful farewell service. Pastora Mónica is an inspiration to all of us. We will miss you Iglesia de Dios El Shaddai.

What a blessing it is to meet wonderful people who, despite their difficulties, always have a smile and welcome us into their homes with open arms.

We enjoyed our last day of ministry with the children. We will never forget their smiles and how language differences are no barrier to showing God’s love among us.

We are very grateful to have been able to serve alongside Pastor José, his wife, and their church. They are a blessing in our lives, and we will never forget them. We will continue to pray that God will continue to support their work.

On Friday we got to see how beautiful El Salvador is and we are so grateful for all the memories we made together!
