Lighthouse Christian Church

We made it safe and sound to Panama. We can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us this week.

Mikey and Melissa are all set to lead us this week. They’ll be guiding us and helping us connect with the local church. We’re excited to serve alongside them.

We had such a great time connecting with the local church! We sang in both English and Spanish, and Pastor Abdi really hit home about the importance of walking in light, having fellowship with each other, and confessing our sins. It was awesome to spend time with our family here.

We went to the local grocery store to gather all the items for the food bags we’re delivering this week. It was like a scavenger hunt making sure we had the right quantities. We managed to find everything and load it onto the bus!

After the store, we headed back to the church to pack all the bags for the week. We’re blessing 25 families that will be prayed for and gifted with food.

We had a blast visiting the local school and hanging out with the kids! Jennifer shared the lesson about how God doesn’t abandon us when we fail; instead, He helps us get back on our feet. We also had a great time playing games and making bracelets and key chains together. It was such a fun time!

A few of us stayed at the church to work on the construction project. We focused on preparing the mortar, troweling it on, and smoothing the back wall of the church.

WOW! What an incredible first day of home visits. We were able to visit 9 families and God truly made His presence known. We prayed for the sick, for those who are burdened, for people who don’t know Jesus, and for those with big questions about the gospel.

We had a blast hanging out with the ladies from the church! 16 of them came by for some encouragement and good company. It was such a joy to spend time with them.

Through hills and valleys, we continued our second day of home visits. We visited 6 families and were able to share the gospel with them, and we’re truly thankful to God for opening doors, even with those who weren’t initially interested in hearing it.

We keep working on making the church look a little nicer. GO TEAM!

We took our team over to Nuevo Chorrillo, and a lovely lady from the church let us use her place for our women’s ministry. It was an amazing time filled with fellowship and lots of fun!

We had an awesome time at VBS! The day ended with an epic volleyball game which was definitely the highlight. We had so much fun!

On our last day of home visits, we were able to visit the remaining families we hadn’t seen yet. Stepping into people’s homes and talking with them about the gospel has been such an incredible experience. We’re forever changed because of it.

We made a lot of progress on our construction project with the mortar and trowel work. We’re really excited about how it’s coming along and can’t wait to see the final results.

We had an absolute blast with the kids on our last day! We played soccer and just kept going nonstop. They’re the sweetest, and we’re really going to miss them all so much.

We had a wonderful time spending the last day of ministry with the amazing ladies of the church. We shared a message of encouragement, reminding them that we’re all like pieces of a puzzle, coming together as the body of Christ.

For the farewell service, we had one last chance to gather with the locals and celebrate all the amazing things the Lord did this week. Some of the families we visited came along, and we shared the highlights of our time together. We wrapped up the night with a bonfire and roasted marshmallows.
