We arrived safe and sound, ready to tackle this week of service in Kentucky!
We are believing God for changed hearts and lives through this time.
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God”, Micah 6:8

We had a church service with the host partner and directly following enjoyed hamburgers and hotdogs. Then we met up with one of our mission opportunities in the area Starfish Orphan Ministry and provided much needed laborers to pick-up, sort, and clear-up donations and trash disposal. Followed with a devotion and dinner then some basketball time before bed.

Today we served at two locations. Half of us served sorting, hauling and delivering household supplies to people in desperate need of them. We listened to the founders story of God drawing her heart to serve the orphans and needy in her area of Kentucky and the world.
The other half of us worked with the host church to put in new flooring, install a sink, a toilet and a bathroom vanity. It is such a joy to serve and be the tangible hands and feet of Jesus.
Another great devotions time after dinner had us sharing stories of what impacted us the most during the day. Talks of gratitude and appreciation for what we have that we often take for granted. Alongside excitement for the opportunity to serve again tomorrow.

We split into two groups for serving again today. Teams 1 and 2!
What a day!
1.) We served with Starfish by painting their outbuilding, and hauling metal to the scrap yard. We were able to eat lunch with the many old ladies who serve there. We found out that all the people who work there are volunteers and are not paid!
Through the volunteers this organization, just so clearly, demonstrates the value of giving our 10% to the Lord and he works wonders through it. We have had a great few days here. Finalizing our time with Starfish for this trip we gathered with the founder and each of the young men prayed for her and the ministry. For God to bless them and those they minister too! It was a special time.
2.) We were blessed to get to serve with Catalyst today. This organization feeds over 700 people every Thursday! So we chopped and diced chicken by the buckets, then sauteed them on the grill, made corn by the tray and noodles by the colander. Preparing some of the ingredients for the large community meal we are preparing for tomorrow.
Catalyst has a big metal building being used for God’s glory and to bless others through these very tangible means
