We made it! We can’t wait to see what God has in store for this week!

We aren't letting jet lag hold us back! We kicked off our trip with a super early morning to hop on a boat and head out to explore the islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina!

While on Aegina, we got to explore the Temple of Apollo, built around 500 BC.

Today was amazing! We hopped a train to Glyfada Christian Center for church and enjoyed coffee and cake afterwards before heading back into Athens for a time of exploring Plaka (the oldest street in the world!) And seeing all the Christmas decorations! We watched sunset on Mars Hill and read out of Acts how Paul preached to the Athenians. It was powerful, to read Paul's message and realize we are continuing the mission that was started 2000 years ago. We spent time praying over the city, and the ministry we are getting ready to serve this wee!

Athens is all decorated for Christmas!

Packing bags for the refugee camp. Toothbrushes, socks, wipes, combs, and more!

Won’t lie, they were awesome!

We set up with Henneke and Jennifer to pass out our bags and blankets to people from the refugee camp. This camp consists of people from the Middle East and Africa. It was an incredible afternoon of making new friends, playing soccer, and sharing stories….and Jesus! It’s a time that deeply touched our hearts and reminded us that every face we see, is a face that is created in God’s image and loved so deeply by Him.

It's been fun to learn all the public transportation!

The girls served at Good Samaritan, a ministry of Helenic Ministries that serves women and children (refugee and Greek). They do laundry, Greek classes, farsi speaking Bible studies, doctors, and clothes. We had fun decorating for Christmas and helping in the clothing ministry!

The guys went back to Glyfada Christian Center to work on painting and decorating for Christmas!

We went out into the community to pass out Christmas flyers and pray for the community around Glyfada Christian Center.

Today, the girls finished decorating at Glyfada.

The boys worked with the Christian Refugee Relief and packed 500 bags of food! The amount of work they did is what the normal 3 volunteers would have done in 2.5 weeks! We know God is doing amazing work with CRR and we were humbled to be a part of it!

The Amphitheater

We got to serve at Threads of Hope (run by one of the women of Glyfada Christian Center), they work with helping women coming out of prostitution (many of whom have been trafficked) and give them life skills, as well as sewing skills (and counseling) and most importantly, share the love of Jesus, letting them know that their past does not define them, that their identity is in Christ alone. We also visited Rain Lab, a clothing store that works with refugee women (Iranian, Iraqi, Afghani and Ukrainian) to teach them skills to be able to support themselves and their children. They are all about sharing the Gospel! You can learn more about them at rainlab.gr

They are a part of Helenic Ministries!

We learned about this awesome little coffee shop, On the Way, from the girls at Rain Lab, and it turns out they have only been open for 2 weeks! We got to hear from Ireni about how this coffee shop will help the homeless population. They are a ministry of one of our partner churches! They also have a thrift shop!

We got to visit Ancient Corinth and one of our Local friends (and a missionary!) Came with us and share about Paul's time in Corinth. What an amazing time!

We got to celebrate with Grant as he chose to publicly declare his faith!! Best day ever!

We are so thankful for all the ministry and the partners that we got to meet and serve and pray with us! It was an incredible week and one we won’t forget. God is so good!!
