Safe Arrival
by Marconi Cano | April 6, 2026 10:21 PM
We have safely arrived Corozal in Belize and went to our host church: New Jerusalem Nazarene. We have met pastor Nehru and some of his church members. We are humbly looking forward to serving in this community and see how God can use us in different ministries.

VBS Day 1
by Marconi Cano | April 7, 2026 7:25 PM
Today we had our first day of VBS and received 47 happy and energetic local kids. We shared the love of God through John 3:16 and also shared the stories of 3 judges (Deborah, Samson and Gideon). Through their stories we learn to be strong and wise as we serve our Lord. We are looking forward to the following days of VBS.

Food Packing
by Britney Rosalez | April 8, 2026 12:57 AM
This afternoon, we packed grocery bags for the food distribution ministry. It was so special to see how we can work together as a team to accomplish a task. We prepared bags to bless 20 families in the community and are excited to see the homes where God will lead us to serve this week.

VBS Day 2
by Britney Rosalez | April 8, 2026 8:56 PM
Today we had an amazing time with the kids! This week’s theme is all about superheroes, so we got creative making superhero masks and capes, letting each child design their own unique look—everything while looking up to the greatest superhero of all, Jesus, who, as John 3:16 reminds us, made the most heroic act by saving us all.
We are so grateful that 74 kids joined us today.

Food Distribution
by Britney Rosalez | April 8, 2026 9:27 PM
This afternoon we shared our first five grocery bags. Visiting people in their homes and seeing the way they welcomed us was truly special. We had the opportunity to listen to their testimonies and pray with them. It was so encouraging to see that even in the middle of trials, their faith remains firmly anchored in Jesus.
As James 1: 2-3 reminds us: “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” Seeing their faith in action today was a beautiful reminder that even in challenges, God’s work in people’s lives shines brightly.
We are very expectant of what God will show us in the next days.

Fence Project
by Marconi Cano | April 8, 2026 10:03 PM
Today we worked together on the church fence, putting up fencing pipes around part of the property. It was a great time of teamwork and service. This project will help provide better security for the church and bring peace of mind to Pastor Nehru and his congregation. We are grateful to be part of something that will bless the church in a practical and lasting way.

Painting the Fence
by Marconi Cano | April 8, 2026 10:10 PM
Another project that we worked on today was painting the church’s front fence, giving the entrance a fresh and renewed look. It took teamwork and cooperation to complete the task, and it was rewarding to see the transformation. We are thankful to contribute in a way that helps make the church more welcoming to all who enter.

Removing old Paint
by Marconi Cano | April 8, 2026 10:16 PM
We worked on several projects this afternoon. One of them was to scrape one of the church walls in order to remove the old paint. It was a demanding task and took a lot of effort, but we stayed committed and worked together throughout the afternoon . Our goal is to finish all the scraping and have the walls ready for a fresh coat of paint by the end of the week.

Matthew 28:19
by Marconi Cano | April 8, 2026 10:24 PM
Today reminded us of the importance of building strong and lasting relationships. Through our sports programs, we’ve been able to connect with the local kids and also grow closer as a team. It’s amazing to see how God reveals Himself even through simple moments, like a volleyball game or time spent playing together. Through these moments, we also have the opportunity to share the gospel with the kids and live out the greatest commandment—to go and make disciples of Jesus. These experiences are creating bonds that go beyond the week and will last for a long time.

Day 3 of VBS
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 12:58 AM
Today we hosted 74 local kids during the third day of VBS! We learnt about Daniel and his 3 friends and how they were faithful to God and served Him despite the dangers that they had to face. We also learnt from 1 John 1:7 - “but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleans us from all sin.”
We ministered to these beautiful children with Bible stories, crafts, small group discussions, crafts, snacks and sports activities. We continue to pray that God uses us as his hands and feet to bless the people of Corozal and to share his gospel to them.

VBS Day 3
by Britney Rosalez | April 10, 2026 12:59 AM
Today was another day full of beautiful surprises from God. We were blessed to welcome even more kids, and it was so special to see their excitement arriving early and, from the moment they step into the yard, calling us by name with such joy.
Our memory verse for today was 1 John 1:7, a powerful reminder of walking in the light and living in fellowship with one another. We also shared the story of Daniel and the three brave young men, who chose to stand firm in their faith rather than bow down to the king’s statue. Their courage inspired us all, especially the children, to remain faithful to God no matter the circumstances.

Jesus is my Superhero
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 6:55 PM
Today we celebrated our fourth day of VBS and our kids are loving the song: Jesus is my superhero! The Word of God is being preached and every day several local kids have surrendered their lives to the Lord. It is amazing to see our team work together to accomplish the greatest commission.

Painting Project
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 6:59 PM
After VBS, we worked on different projects at the church. We applied to coats of primer to the walls and tomorrow we will paint them. This will allow the building to look sharper and more welcoming.

Fence Completed
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 7:06 PM
Today we completed the fence project. It was a challenging job, with moments of fatigue and slow progress, but we pushed through together as a team.
Through teamwork and perseverance, we were able to finish what we started on Tuesday. Looking at the completed fence fills us with a sense of accomplishment and reminds us that hard tasks become possible with God on our side.

Wall Primed
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 7:11 PM
Over the past few days, our team has been working on painting a wall inside the church building. We began by scraping off the old, peeling paint—a task that required patience and effort, but was necessary to prepare the surface properly.
Today, we applied a fresh coat of primer, and it was encouraging to see the transformation begin. This step brings new life to the wall and sets the stage for an even better finish.
Through this work, we are reminded that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference. This project will help the worship house look much better and create a more welcoming space for all who gather here.

Parachute Time
by Marconi Cano | April 10, 2026 7:17 PM
In the middle of all our work projects, we took a break to spend time playing with the kids using a colorful parachute. Laughter quickly filled the space as everyone joined in, lifting and moving it together. It was a simple activity, yet it brought so much joy to both the children and our team.
Moments like these remind us that building relationships doesn’t always require something big or complicated. Even through a simple game, connections are strengthened, trust is built, and joy is shared. We are grateful for these opportunities to bond and create lasting memories together.

Food Distribution
by Britney Rosalez | April 10, 2026 9:47 PM
Today we continued with the food ministry, and once again we were reminded that God is already at work in every home we visit. We got to know some of the people in the community and prayed along with them. It was good to see some of our students jumping in and volunteering to do the prayer for these families. Truly, prayer is powerful—it brings peace, hope, and reminds us that God is near in every situation.

Final Day of VBS and Ministry
by Marconi Cano | April 11, 2026 6:32 PM
Today marked our final day of VBS and ministry here at New Jerusalem Nazarene Church. As we reflect on this week, our hearts are full of gratitude for the opportunity God has given us to serve alongside Pastor Nehru and his church family. It has truly been a blessing to labor together in unity for His kingdom.
Throughout these days, we have seen more than just activities and programs—we have witnessed the building of meaningful relationships. New friendships have been formed, and old ones have grown even stronger. These connections remind us that ministry is not only about what we do, but about the love we share and the lives we touch.
We thank God for allowing us to be His hands and feet in this place. It is our prayer that the seeds planted this week will continue to grow, and that the impact made will lead to transformed lives and souls being saved for the King of Kings.
To Him be all honor and all the glory.

God is Good!
by Britney Rosalez | April 11, 2026 9:07 PM
One of the girls made the decision to give her life to Christ. This moment filled our hearts with comfort and gratitude, knowing that heaven rejoices over one soul who turns to Him.
We managed to finish the painting and fence project and had all the grocery bags delivered.
We leave this place with so much joy and gratitude in our hearts, thankful for the privilege of being chosen by God to be part of what He is doing here.
