Food Packing and Distribution

by Denmar Russell | April 14, 2026 6:33 AM

Monday, the start of the week, was jammed with many wonderful activities and one of them was giving food grocery bags to the needy. Day one of this activity was divided into three steps. First we went to the supermarket to buy groceries super market sweep style to get the best deals on each item on the list in efficient time. Then came step two, the assembly and packing of groceries. Here we made a total of 20 grocery hampers, meaning 20 families of the community will benefit and be blessed by this initiative. The last step was home visiting and food distribution. Here the teams were divided in groups and we were able to visit four homes. Everyone had a unique experience interacting with the people and talking about Jesus. It was a good day and food distribution continues with day 2 so stay tuned!

VBS - Joy In Motion

by Herman Blease | April 14, 2026 7:56 AM

Our first day of VBS was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we started with our opening song, you could feel the energy and excitement in the air. Smiles and laughter filled the church as we shared a Bible story that reminded us all of God’s love.

Afterward, we split into art and sports camps and that’s when things really came alive! Some of the kids expressed their creativity through art, while others ran, played, and connected through sports. Every moment was filled with joy, teamwork, and new friendships forming.

It’s amazing how something as simple as playing a game or creating together can open doors for connection and ministry. We’re believing this is just the beginning of what God wants to do this week!

Food Distribution Day 2

by Denmar Russell | April 15, 2026 6:39 AM

On day two of groceries bag distribution we visited 5 families from different areas of Libertad Village. And each visit, every day is unique and makes us connect more with the locals. One of our visits was with Mrs Lupe and her grandson Zamir. We talked about life, her upbringing, how she raised her kids and now how she's doing at the stage of being a grandparent and as a retired cook. We finished off in prayer and she gifted us with some peanuts and coconut popsicles or as they call it in Belize ‘Ideal’ Caz in this heat they are indeed ideal.

For our mid-rec day, we headed to Lamanai. After a bus ride to Orange Walk, we took a boat trip to the Mayan temple, where we spotted various types of birds and even saw crocodiles along the way. We loved learning about the history and hiking the site, finishing the day with a delicious lunch and great fellowship!"

Last School Visit

by Melissa Castillo | April 16, 2026 5:01 PM

Today was our last day visiting the school in Libertad. Being with the kids was a whirlwind of emotions. We gave each student a letter written by a student from Cherry Hills Upper School and even had time to help them write replies. All the children were so happy playing with us, which made saying goodbye even harder. We are just so grateful for the opportunity to have built these friendships.
