The team has arrived in Athens! The PPM staff can’t wait to spend an incredible week serving alongside you all!

We’re ready to go this morning in Athens! We’ll be learning more about the city this morning and going on a little walking tour. We can’t wait to learn more about the community we’ll be serving alongside.

We stopped by the Olympic Stadium on our walking tour. It was so fun to have a few minutes to take pictures and learn a little history.

We finally made it to Acropolis! It was truly incredible to spend time wandering around these incredible ruins.

After the Acropolis we went over to Mars Hill. King read Acts 17:16-34, the story of the unknown God, as the sun set.

We have had an incredible day! We hiked to Acrocorinth in the morning and on our way down we stopped underneath a tree to read our devotional for the day.

We’re starting our morning off at Rain Lab a fashion lab that empowers refugee women through fashion. It teaches women who have left the refugee camp a skill so they are able to begin making money.

We spent Thursday afternoon at New Start learning about their important ministry working with women in vulnerable positions.

After we learned more about the ministry we were able to go on a short prayer walk with Dimitrius the founder of New Start.

It’s our last day of serving! We started the day at Good Samaritan who works with refugee women & children. Some of the guys got right to work sorting clothes in the clothing closet.

Part of the team is sweeping the patio at Good Samaritan to help clean it up. Any task that we can do to support the staff at Good Samaritan allows them to be able to spend more time ministering to people in their community.

Another small group is working on cleaning the windows in the primary ministry area where language classes are taught and children are ministered to at Good Samaritan.

The girls in the team are spending time with children who are visiting the Good Samaritan. Mother’s are able to visit doctors, attend language classes, and receive other supports and know their children are safe and being well cared for.
