The team from Mount Zion GMC has arrived ready to kick off an exciting Mission Service Week! We're honored to serve with Minneapolis Baptist Church, lending our hands and hearts to projects that will bless the community and glorify God.
Our home base for the week is the beautiful Teen Valley Ranch, whose hospitality and mountain views are already lifting our spirits. We’re stepping into this week with joy, faith, and a deep desire to make a difference—knowing that every act of service reflects God’s love.
Please keep us in your prayers as we serve, grow, and connect. Let’s make this a week to remember!

Mission Group Update: A Day of Service at Minneapolis Baptist Church!
by Robert Siple | May 5, 2025 5:27 PM
What an incredible day of service our team from Mount Zion GMC had at Minneapolis Baptist Church in Minneapolis, NC! We rolled up our sleeves and got to work on a variety of projects, all to help the church continue its vital mission in the community.
Our group dove right in, preparing and staining trim for the Sunday school rooms, ensuring the space is inviting and ready for the children who will be learning and growing there. We also tackled some hands-on repairs, including floor repairs in the ministry building, wallboard fixes, and plumbing repairs that will help keep everything running smoothly.
Big thanks to Teen Valley Ranch for providing us with the perfect accommodations to rest and recharge after a hard day's work. It’s truly inspiring to see how our combined efforts can make a lasting impact. Today, Minneapolis Baptist Church is one step closer to being able to continue its important work in serving the local community.
We are grateful for this opportunity to serve and look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of this wonderful ministry!

Building Together: Power of Unity in Christ

Today, our mission team from Mount Zion GMC continued our work at Minneapolis Baptist Church in Newland, NC. With the support of Teen Valley Ranch, our gracious hosts nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, we spent another day in service and fellowship.
Under a sky that shifted from cloudy to sunny, our team made significant progress—repairing floors, installing baseboards, and mending walls. Each task was more than just maintenance; it was an opportunity to serve with purpose and gratitude.
Beyond the tools and paint, we connected with the church family and neighbors, sharing stories, prayers, and encouragement. These moments reminded us that our mission is not just about physical labor but about building relationships and strengthening community bonds.
As we reflect on today's work, we are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve and for the warmth and hospitality we've received. We look forward to another day of service and fellowship.
“Let all that you do be done in love.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

Reflecting on Our Mission Week in Western North Carolina
by Robert Siple | May 8, 2025 8:38 PM
As our mission group from Mount Zion Global Methodist Church concludes our week of service in western North Carolina, we are filled with gratitude and a deep sense of fulfillment. Over the past several days, we've had the privilege of working at and being the hands and feet of Christ at Minneapolis Baptist Church in Minneapolis, NC, engaging in meaningful projects that have strengthened our bonds and made a tangible impact on the community.
Also , today, our team dedicated efforts to carpentry, demolition, and cleanup work at three local homes affected by Hurricane Helene. These tasks, though physically demanding, were opportunities to serve others and demonstrate Christ's love through action.
Throughout our stay, we were graciously hosted by Teen Valley Ranch.Their hospitality allowed us to rest, recharge, and reflect on our mission, creating a perfect environment for fellowship and spiritual growth. As we prepare to return home, we carry with us not only the memories of hard work and service but also the lasting relationships we've built and the lessons learned. This experience has deepened our understanding of the Great Commission and the importance of serving others in Christ's name.
