Crossroads Church

We are super excited to be in the beautiful Guatemala, there is nice weather here! We made it to our community and met pastor Moisés already. We had a delicious dinner and now we are ready for some rest time and be ready for tomorrow.

We started our day with a delicious breakfast, then we had our first VBS day, at least 45 kid showed up. Live it out!

Yes, you read it well, we had a mariachi band singing and playing christian music. How welcomed we were to this community.

Why answering prayers? Every bag of groceries is an answer of the prayers from the families we will be visiting.

At evening we attended church service at our host church, it was a blessed night. Jen had the privilege of share God's word at church.

We started delivering the groceries. What a great time with the families we had. It was amazing how God led us to the houses in where there was not only physical needs but also espiritual needs.

On Monday afternoon we had our VBS, it was day two and the kids were ready to learn. Live it out! Augusto was so great leading songs!

S'mores, pizza, games, connections, games, energy but overall God's love and word is what you need to have a successful youth night. We made some new friends!

on our third day of ministry we continued visiting the people of the Town of Yepocapa. Hearing the stories and the powerful testimonies really changed our lives and our faith. It’s incredible to see how God moves and works in many different ways.

Every morning we wake up surrendered by the Beauty of Guatemala. We have seen God through the people, the food, the culture, the culture and through the mountains and volcanoes. What amazing God we serve that created this beauty.

Even when we didn’t speak the same language, we could feel so connected to our kids. They are full of the love, the joy and the spirit of God that connected us so well. Their love and kindness will always be in our hearts. Saying goodbye to them was hard but we know that their example of love will always stay with us.

The Holy Spirit was in our midst during our time with the women. We had such a special time talking with them and spoiling them. They are very brave and strong women of God with a strong faith that are a huge support to this church. So it was very special to lift their arms and pray for them.

We also helped with the construction of the new section of the church. We are excited to see how it will be and how many people will be blessed with having a new house where they can worship and praise God!

During our Goodbye Service, we had the opportunity to thank our friends and family from Guatemala for all the things they did for us and for all the things we learned from them. This church is now in our hearts and we will continue to pray for them.

Part of our mission in Guatemala was supporting the local church and the best way to do it was taking care of their pastors. It was so special to hear the story of the church but even more special to hear what’s in our pastors’ hearts. We had a time where we cried, we laughed and we prayed.

We had a special day to get to learn more about the culture of Guatemala. We could explore more and learn more about the culture of this beautiful country. The Lord makes everything beautiful and Guatemala is a prove of it.

Have you ever tried the coffee of Guatemala?? It’s amazing!! So we decided to go on a coffee tour to see how they make the coffee. It was great and we enjoyed our experience!
