IN BELIZE

by Glendy Cho | April 18, 2026 11:13 PM

We're here in Belize, yeah!! After making sure we had everyone, we boarded our buses and made a stop for lunch, where we had an incredible local meal. It is a blessing for us to be here in their beautiful country. Regardless of our age or background, we are all here with the same purpose: to serve.

MEETING PARTNER PASTOR

by Glendy Cho | April 18, 2026 11:19 PM

We headed to Orange Walk. We went to Guinea Grass to meet our host pastor and see the church where we will serve. It's only the first day, and the blessings are already pouring in. I am grateful for this journey and the reminders of God's goodness at every turn. We will rest and prepare for tomorrow's first full day of ministry in Orange Walk.

ON THE GO!

by Glendy Cho | April 19, 2026 11:12 AM

This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. What a beautiful Sunday here in Belize! We got up early to head to Guinea Grass; we did some preparation for the day, and we also got together to meditate on why we are here. Our souls are fed to serve, all glory to our Father.

Sunday School at ROA Church

by Jacqueline Herrera | April 19, 2026 1:11 PM

We started the day off with a wonderful sunday school where we engaged with the kids from the Church, Rock of Ages in Guinea Grass.

“Every day is a gift of God’s love for us. He watches over us, protects us, and delights in all the wonderful things we do.”

That is the lesson taught to the kids today, that God's love for us is bigger than anything else. Such an amazing topic to teach the kids. Ohh how are we looking forward to spending time with the kids the rest of the week!

A Blessing in Guinea Grass!

by Arods Pott | April 19, 2026 2:15 PM

Today, our hands were busy but our spirits were focused. We gathered, packed, and delivered bags of hope to families across the Guinea Grass community. Each parcel was more than just food; it was a quiet promise that no one stands alone. To see the smiles and feel the gratitude of our neighbors was a powerful reminder that we are called to be the hands and feet of love in action. We began the day with supplies!

"God has given us two hands, one to receive with and the other to give with."

Billy Graham

Hebrews 13:16

"Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."

First day of VBS

by Jacqueline Herrera | April 20, 2026 7:00 PM

Today VBS was filled with energy and joy. The songs were lively, the games were fun, and the lessons sparked a meaningful reflection. Everyone came together, laughing and learning about God’s love in an engaging way. A highlight was the reminder to trust God even in uncertain times, which encouraged deeper personal reflection. There’s a sense of gratitude for the friendships formed, the encouragement shared, and the opportunity to grow spiritually in such a positive environment.

We are really looking forward for tomorrow!

The sun was relentless today, but we were faster. Despite the scorching heat, we pushed through to finish an entire side wall and officially began work on the church front.

We’re exhausted and sun-baked, but seeing the building transform makes every drop of sweat worth it.

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord..."

Bound and Togetherness

by Chris Reyes | April 20, 2026 10:46 PM

"How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” Psalms 133:1

Nothing beats a friendly volleyball game to bring people together! After a day of service, we loved bonding with our Belizean friends. It was a powerful reminder of Jesus' love and how God’s presence is bigger than any challenge we face

Adventure Time!

by Glendy Cho | April 21, 2026 6:47 PM

This morning, we had the opportunity to embark on a cultural adventure. We all hopped onto boats and made our way to Lamanai, surrounded by the beauty of the river and jungle. Once there, we explored the site, walking among ancient structures while learning about the rich history and culture of the Maya civilization—how they lived, thrived, and connected with their world. Visiting the Maya site was an incredible experience, giving us a chance to dive into history and truly appreciate this fascinating heritage.

VBS Day 2

by Chris Reyes | April 21, 2026 6:56 PM

Our morning spent admiring God's creation was only surpassed by our arrival in Guinea Grass. The eager faces of the children reminded us exactly why we serve. As VBS kicked off, our work crew stayed focused, pushing hard to finish this week's mission projects. God is moving in every corner of this trip!

VBS Day 2

Breaking the Bread

by Arods Pott | April 22, 2026 12:03 AM

“Breaking the Bread” was a simple yet powerful experience. As we visited different homes, we shared faith, testimonies, and moments of how God has worked in our lives. Hearing the miracles and unwavering trust in God from each family was deeply humbling.

This experience opened our eyes to the blessings we often take for granted and reminded us to live with greater gratitude. Even with fewer resources, the joy and faith we encountered were abundant.

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever." — Psalm 107:1

Continuation of food distribution

by Jacqueline Herrera | April 22, 2026 1:02 PM

Another meaningful day in the food ministry. We all gathered together and divided ourselves in different groups to continue with the food distribution. Today’s time in the food ministry was a beautiful reminder that we are simply joining in the work God is already doing. Each home we visited held stories, challenges, and moments where His presence could be felt.

It was encouraging to watch our students step out in faith, offering heartfelt prayers for the families we met. Prayer continues to be a source of comfort and strength, bringing light and hope into every situation

by Chris Reyes | April 22, 2026 6:17 PM

The final day of VBS in Guinea Grass was nothing short of a blessing. Seeing more than 150 bright faces at Rock of Ages Church was the perfect way to conclude our journey. Though our time with these children has ended for now, our mission doesn't stop here. We rest in the promise that God is King, and we trust Him to open the doors for our return.

What a great way to end our week of serving. Today, we had the opportunity to spend some time on an island, enjoying ourselves and taking in the beauty around us. We wandered, shared laughs, and came together for our final dinner in Belize—a perfect ending to an unforgettable experience.

THE GOOD COMMISSION

by Glendy Cho | April 24, 2026 11:43 PM

Southeast Christian Schools serving in Belize—what an incredible week! God moved in so many powerful ways, both through us and within us. We are deeply thankful to our host church, the Pentecostal Church Rock of Ages, for their warmth and partnership.

Throughout the week, we had the privilege of ministering to children, families, and the wider community. This mission has left a lasting mark on our hearts.

As we return home, our hearts overflowing with gratitude and purpose. While this chapter comes to an end, the mission continues in our own communities.
