Living Waters

After settling our things in our rooms, we gather to talk about what is going on tomorrow. We’re so excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to meet everyone at the service tomorrow morning! Ending the meeting in a prayer, we plan to get some rest for the very special day coming up.

After eating breakfast, we’re up and ready to leave our lodging. And you know what? The Lord already saved a couple through one of us today! Haven’t even left the lodging and God is already working! Can’t wait to see what else He has in store for us this week. 

Finally being able to meet Pastora Rosa, we are greeted with this very beautifully decorated Puerto Rico themed area and are so thankful for her efforts and hospitality. She radiates the love of God with how her face simply lights up at the sight of us. We are so grateful for this opportunity to serve with her this week. 

While part of the team saves time decorating back at the church, another part of us go and pray for the community around it with Pastora Rosa. Evangelizing is the name of the game and saving lives is the way to win it. Can’t wait to keep winning lives for the Lord.

We had an amazing opportunity to pray for some of the elderly in an assistance living facility. They were so humble, as we asked for prayer request they always asked for other people. We ended being ministered by them. The Holy spirit has really worked miracles today. 

Making a practice run for tomorrow’s VBS, we ask God to not only help us but to lead us through it all. We cannot wait for the kids to see everything we have prepared for them and for the Lord’s presence to accompany us all the way!

Here’s a picture of our VBS team! We’re so pumped and ready to receive the kids on this beautiful day. We also have a couple of Pastora Rosa’s friends helping us out! It takes a village to take care of kids!

In a game of “You First”, we’re teaching the kids to put others first just as Jesus did with us when he died and resurrected for our sins.  Let’s all remember to love each other and have some fun! Love others as God loves them.

After a lesson about loving others, we have the kids divided in two groups, one of which is in the arts and crafts section! Here’s an example of some of the kids’ beautiful drawings on rocks! It is so sweet to see how talented these kids are. God blesses and never forgets them!

We have officially finished our first day of VBS! It has been such a blessing to interact with the kids and share the gospel with them. Pastora Rosa is so grateful for everything going on and we can’t be happier about that. Praise God!

We start off our morning with a beautiful devotional from a member of our team. This is something we’ve been doing every morning to fortify our team with the word of God throughout the trip. Doing devotionals together is crucial!

As we are receiving the kids, we see familiar and new faces! This little girl happened to pass by yesterday while strolling with her grandpa. Pastora saw the girl’s interest was placed on everything going on inside and she made it her mission to get her to join! Parents approved and here she is now! God is so good!

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

And here we are, gathering to pray for a girl whose feet go inwards when she walks. We believe that the Lord listens to our prayers, and he listens to her heart. Help us pray for her healing, and for the rest of the kids as well.

Praise God for He is so merciful! Praying for people, we’ve seen how the Lord has lifted a weight off their shoulders once they accept Christ into their hearts! Let’s celebrate that we will see these new believers in heaven! 

Kids are coming in early today! While they wait, we give them a small book to color in, keeping them busy while we set up! They are so entertained, it’s so heartwarming. Love that the Lord gives us all different talents and interests!

Let’s get our energies at high levels while praising the Lord and working out our bodies to stay healthy! Our body is our temple so we better take care of it! So excited that kids are getting the hang of the songs so much more now!

Pastora Rosa has asked for us to pray for different areas of her church, be it the outside, the walls, the electrical system, the administration, or the kid’s church, which is the area you see right now. We’re all letting the Lord lead us in prayer and He is definitely pouring his spirit here right now. 

We have a night service coming up so we prepare with a team meeting and a prayer over the service to impact the lives that come join us today. May the Lord take control of everything during this blessed time. Remember that there is no such thing as too much prayer!

This trip has gotten us so far and so close together, the Lord has provided an excellent opportunity for all of us to learn from each other and grow with one another. This morning we pray to fortify strength and ask our God to show us His love. One more day as a team today!

We form a circle around the kids at VBS today after doing some worship songs and dances, praying that the seed the Lord planted in their hearts this week can keep growing. May they produce spiritual fruits as they continue to grow in God’s path. Amen!

Starting off our recreation time strong, we go up a tower called Yokahu at El Yunque National Rainforest! From here, we get to see all the beautiful sights God created in Puerto Rico and can’t help but snap some pictures to remember this moment! 

After buying some souvenirs at the Luquillo Kiosks, we take a stop in Fajardo to wind down, see the amazing beach, and look at the colors in the sky that the Lord painted here. Taking a little dip, and a deep breath, we feel at peace, thanking God for breathtaking moments like these.
