Every year a local church holds a youth rally called “Awake”, our team was invited to be part of it!

We participated in worship, a testimony, and outdoor games. There was at least five youth ministries that attended, and our team was able to get to know students from neighboring churches.

Free N Deed Market is a local food pantry. After after being closed for about two weeks, our team was able to help prepare for its reopening tomorrow.

Our team helped by restocking shelves, painting walls, and organizing baby clothes. Today was a beautiful representation of the unity of Christ and caring for one another in serving.

Tonight we had dinner at restoration ministries. Restoration ministries focuses on long-term recovery from substance abuse and stability after incarceration. some of the members of restoration ministry made us dinner and we ate with another PPM team. after dinner, we got to engage in friendly competition by playing volleyball and basketball.

On Tuesday after being closed for two weeks free indeed was able to reopen! Our team was able to serve at least 500 people.

There were people that arrived at about two in the morning to get in and receive food. The team worked hard to make sure that individuals were seen and taken care of. We were able to pray for people and share the love of Christ through our actions.

Wednesday our team was able to finish tiling and painting a room.

Our team was able to take the metra train into Chicago and spend the day sightseeing!

Some of our stops were the Bean, the magnificent mile, Navy bay, and of course, deep dish pizza to finish it off!
