Jersey Church

We have arrived to Puerto Rico! We are enjoying some delicious pinchos at the beach before we head to Mayagüez. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us this week!

We have made it to Mayaguez! After an amazing dinner we are doing an orientation meeting joined by Pastor Israel to go over our week.

This morning we join the congregation at Iglesias Bautista Emmanuel for praise, worship, & the word of God.

As we evangelize by the coast, we come across Juan, at a skate park. A young man who believes in God & Jesus, but not in the Bible. Pastor Israel helps to clear up the doubt Juan had. We end the moment with a prayer & the hope that he has a better understanding of the Bible.

We are evangelizing in the community around the church this morning. We are taking the time to pray over the people here and invite them to church.

We are back at Gladys and Lizzy’s house after an amazing lunch, doing a small service together. We are grateful for the chance to bring church to Lizzy, who is undergoing cancer treatment and can’t attend in person. We are also celebrating both of their birthdays coming up later this week, feeling blessed to share this moment with them.

This afternoon we are at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. The students here are walking through a difficult season of uncertainty, so we’re showing up with snacks, water, and prayer. It’s been a beautiful time of fellowship, and we are so grateful to share a message of unity and hope with them today.

Tonight we are leading youth service! We are playing games, worshipping, sharing testimonies and talking about our identity in Christ.

This morning we are with some students from the university whom the church has connected with through Pan y Vida. We are helping them practice their conversational English, using this time to build relationships and spark God conversations.

Tonight we are joining the congregation of Iglesia Bautista Emanuel for their prayer service. We are feeling blessed to stand together in unity as one church. We are realizing more and more that we have truly become one big family as we share our prayer requests and pray for one another.

This morning we are back out in the community evangelizing. We are having great conversations as we invite people to church!

This afternoon we are in the community of Paris. We pray that God provides us with opportunities to have great interactions with people.

Tonight we are having our second part with the youth! We are so blessed to even have people we met out in the community joining us!

We are wrapping up our day praying over the pastor and his family. We pray that God renews their strength and guides them as they continue serving their church and community.

This morning we are preparing breakfast for the member of the church that have been cooking for us and serving alongside us this week. We are so grateful for all of their hard work.

After sharing how we saw God in each other this week, we are exploring Old San Juan! We are having a great time visiting historical sites and shopping for souvenirs. We are also having our last dinner as a team over at Bun’s burger shop.
