Church of the Palms

L.I.T Youth Group and Church of the Palms have arrived safe and sound and are ready to get their week started!

Before we start painting the hallway of this school, we had to place painter tape around to try to avoid getting this paint everywhere.

Today we got the opportunity to help out our hosting church and Mr. Dan with some lawn care. One man is in charge of all the maintenance and lawn work on this huge property, so we were glad to be able to bless him with helping hands. 

Jesus loves you, love him back!! That was our motto this week serving alongside Pastor Micheal and his church. We had the opportunity to feed the unhoused community and worship in sweet fellowship. 

We sang, worshipped, played games, and most importantly made new connections. Today we volunteered at a mom and pop style nursing home for women who have Dementia and Alzheimers disease. 

After a long day of sorting, moving and spending time with the residents, a team of us wanted to go back and finish the work we started yesterday

This week we have been working through Ephesians for our devotional time, being led by different students each day!

Ice cream sundaes fall on a Tuesday this week! Our host pastor, Pastor Ted of Community Methodist Church, and his wife were generous enough to throw us a surprise party. It was a nice treat after a hard days work.
